We have recently moved to Vero Beach and needed a temperature and humidity controlled space to store some things that we don't have space for in our condo. Annette is the manager and is just WONDERFUL. She was tremendously helpful, professional and very efficient. We have been here for about ten days and seem to go to our unit almost every day. The people who work there are great and the place is kept in relatively good order. The location is convenient too. But here's my problem. Once your stuff is stored there and you get comfortable, they will keep raisinh the rent. Practically every month I get an email saying my rate is being increased. They know they have you by the neck, so beware before you rent there on a long term basis. read more

We moved from CT to Paradise and found this local storage facility off US-1 in Vero Beach, Fl. From the first conversation with Annette, we knew we made the right decision. She was not only extremely professional and knowledgeable, she was also super friendly and accommodating. We had specific needs as we would be unloading 2 PODs on two different dates into two different units. She went above and beyond to make sure things went as smoothly as possible. The price was more than quoted on the phone. I rented 2 units. 10 x 20 non climate controlled, and a 10 x10 climate controlled. I even switched to a different location so that both units would be at the same facility. When I arrived the 10 x 10 was not climate controlled. I was told that they had a waiting list for 10 x 10 climate controlled and all they could offer me was a 5 x 10. Not sure if this is an intentional tactic to get you in but seems a bit shady. read more

If you like roaches, rat droppings and bad attitude/customer service and entering a building that smells moldy and like rat droppings in the air than this is the Public Storage for you. Not sure why this place has ANY good reviews. When I came in one day back in May to rent a 5x5 unit I walked in and was already greeted with attitude was told I HAD to get the renter's insurance then I walked out after they gave me an expensive price for the unit, lady walked out and said wait we can remove the insurance and give you a good price so I rented. My biggest mistake was not checking inside the building and storage unit BEFORE paying and renting... a few days after renting I was moving some stuff around in my car in the parking lot and moving some personal items into storage... I had a couple cans of food perishables which I was NOT planning on moving into the storage these were headed to my new home and the attendant came out acting like she was sweeping with a broom outside and proceeded to tell me with an attitude "you know you can't bring food into the storage unit right?" which I responded to her "of course I've rented many storage units before I know not to store food this is going to my new home"... this building is NOT sanitary and needs to be fumigated. I spoke with the district manager Brian and told him I found rat droppings inside of my actual unit and found a roach the day before he gave me a call back... a couple days later found a huge German cockroach laying on its back. I will NEVER again rent from Public Storage ever again or use this company. I would strongly recommend StorQuest which is where I ended up taking my stuff a couple days ago and the building is super clean, the customer service is excellent and no hassles. read more

I needed storage for a boat and trailer, and although I had rented from a different location for storage of household goods, they could not provide the space I needed, and referred me to this location, close by. I met Annette, the manager, who was very personable, but requested a boat registration, which I had not yet acquired. I received a call back from the manager, stating that the bill of sale would be adequate. Annette was amazing. She was super quick with helping me sign up for the storage unit, which was perfect, while assisting another customer. The rates are certainly comparable to other storage facilities in the area. The site manager was very pleasant and helpful. I really enjoyed being treated respectfully. I was a disappointed, however, for a couple of reasons. 1. the big canvas sign posted on the front of the building said, "1 dollar pays the 1st months rent". It did not cost me one dollar. Apparently that deal was not for my size storage unit. 2nd problem was, the storage unit went from $57.00 a month to 71.99.... Rent-rent tax-insurance(that you must have)-administration fee My first month rent the admin fees were cut in half. so I paid 23.54, you have to have their special kind of lock. "lock disc" 17.99 storage 57.00 lock disk 17.99 admin fees 23.54 insurance 11.35 TOTAL 108.69 FOR A 5X10 for the first month. $71.99 every month after Overall I am satisfied with the storage. I didn't care for the sneaky ways the prices added up. I would do it again if I had to. read more

I had the pleasure of renting a unit today at this facility. David, 'the guy behind the counter" was great. He walked me through to a unit, when I requested a different one, he had no problem at all taking me to look at it. We talked like old friends through the whole process and he got my paperwork done quickly. I was in and out within 30 minutes. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience, and was happy with my unit. The pricing was great for this area, and the cheapest! I would definitely recommend this facility for anyone's storage needs!! read more

Mary, on 5/21/14 was fabulous on signing me up for the lease. However, Ashlee afterwards gave horrible customer service once I was an existing customer. Because of Ashlee's insensitivity as an existing customer, I immediately pulled out all my belongings and rented 2 more of the same size storages in a location down the road that had much better service. Public Storage needs to emphasize more care to existing customers. Once we are already in the door does not mean we don't deserve special continuing care and service just because you already have us. read more
