I wouldn't recommend this location. They will have one price online and then when you come to sign the contract they want to charge differently. You also do not have access to your units 24/7 which makes it very inconvenient. While we were there trying to figure out pricing and rules two people got stuck behind the gate and had trouble exciting and leaving. I had confirmed multiple details with the manager over the phone before I arrived with a rental truck full of items but when I got there in person everything she said over the phone she went back on. I ended up going to an Atlantic Self storage and using their services instead. read more

I needed storage for a month and went online to rent from Public Storage. They had the $1 for the first month deal (normal rate of $185) that came close to $60 after fees and taxes; still cheaper than one month of rent at most places. I was dreading paying for that 2nd month, but luckily I was able to get out of the storage unit after only one month by scheduling moveout on the app for the same day that I had emptied the unit. The staff I interacted with over the phone were pleasant and understanding of my needs answering any questions I had. The location has much to be desired! It's not in the best part of town and I did worry at nights that I'd come back to an empty storage unit, but luckily never had an issue. If I need storage again Public Storage will be at the top of my list of companies to use. read more

I needed to store my belongings for a little over a month while in between moves. I chose this location because it's not far from my new place. When I returned with my movers to unload the unit, I immediately noticed my items weren't arranged the same way as I'd left them. In speaking with the property management, apparently someone cut the lock and stole several items (mostly electronics but also some other items). They also claimed another person's unit had been broken into. I was advised to file a police report with JSO and to call Public Storage's insurance company (that's been a whole other nightmare aside from the initial break in). When I asked about camera footage on the property for the police report, I was advised they don't have cameras on site with the exception of the front office...BUT they were oh so conveniently now installing them. At first I believed them until I started this review. I'm literally looking at reviews from at least 2014, 2015, and 2016 on my sidebar on Yelp where at least THREE other people's units were also broken into. So they're just now installing cameras outside (so they claim) SEVEN years later?! Management also alleges they tried to contact me about the situation mid-August; I've reviewed my call history. They did not. I'm honestly beginning to wonder if it's an inside job. Absolutely DO NOT use this location to store your personal property. I've used Public Storage before in Virginia and never had any issues. It's egregious that this location is STILL experiencing break-ins after multiple customers have experienced and reported theft. The one review I'm literally looking at from 7/15/2014 states, "Don't rent from here unless your unit is completely closed in." Well guess what? Mine was a completely closed in unit and it was STILL broken into. read more

Come to move my stuff out and I immediately noticed that my boxes were disheveled. I thought that my tv had fallen down under the boxes. They offered on the phone a climate control unit that they didn't have and when I wanted to have a refund 24 hrs after signing the lease because I realized i would loose my stuff, well they invented my moving day was 3 days prior of the day I leased the unit so It wouldn't qualify for refund. I've rented at the Southside Blvd. location since February 2021 and had a fully enclosed unit for over a year and everything was great, no issues. As I downsized my hoard, I move to a smaller unit that isn't fully enclosed. I went to check on my items this past weekend and noticed rat droppings all over my boxes. Needless to say, I will be moving out as soon as possible, hopefully before Friday, which is the last day of the month. read more

First time using any kind of storage locker; Public Storage had a good deal so decided to use them. Needed a place for a month, and our all in cost was $38 (including the forced fees you probably get hit with everywhere like insurance and so on). The unit was good, though the door made for a tight fit (stored a decent sized couch). Overall, the experience was perfect; no issue with bugs or rats, weird people, etc. At closing, Mike was very helpful. Got a confirmation / receipt within a minute or two and was on my way! Amazing service! So helpful and kind. Mike and Carline were extremely helpful in helping with getting our first storage unit.

I brought my storage needs here and Mike helped me out. He did as good of a job as any storage personnel can do. He showed me my options and explained the cost variance to me so I could make a good decision. The only negative was that he did exactly as he is required to do by Public Storage, push product and insurance. This is not a knock on him, it is what he has to do to keep his job. It is the industry that requires this painful process to get every dime from you that they can. Remember, they push the insurance and tell you that you have to have it and imply that you need to buy theirs. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY THE INSURANCE. Just keep letting them know you have it already, you will will have to do this three or four times to get them to stop. Again, Mike was great and I am glad he was there to help me. read more

I came to that area the first time thats mean, i am a stranger.i went to a place close to my hotel they said sorry no more parking place was available n they referred to the 3424 address 10 miles away.i got there i explained to that lady name Jodee my situation ,she said to me let me see what i can do.Believe me she digged into that computer to see what was going on .she they is a possibility come tomorrow when i got there the next she did find a parking space available she called the DM (Erin) making her to go to the computer to authorize her.Thank God peter was there at the time to help her do the transfer from there place to where i wanted.Thats what you call customer service .how many people like that do you know and beside all those things happened with big smile happy to satisfy me.
