The impression I got from her was that she did not care if she was causing problems by not opening the gates on time. The owner is supposedly unreachable but after the police contact him I bet he'll be reachable. Also, this is not the first time I've gone there on the weekend and the gates have been locked. What ever you do don't do business with this company. Spend a little more to be sure that you can get to your storage when you need to, not when they feel like it.

This is a crap company. I was with AAA Platte Self Storage for several years and service was great…read more Storage King takes over and you can't reach anyone at the location to resolve issues. You get a call center that is completely unable to resolve anything. The company charges for their insurance if an RV is uninsured. Every year you have to supply proof of insurance on your RV to avoid their insurance. Problem is that their system for receiving the insurance card does not work. There is no way to call the onsite office to make sure they received the proof of insurance. Result is that you get charged for their insurance. Completely unethical. Additionally the maintenance of their facilities is poor. A cinder block wall was knocked down at their covered RV storage. It has been covered with barbed wire and not repaired for some time. This provides poor security for RVs onsite. If there were more available covered RV storage sites in town I'd be outta there.

Disappointed by my experience…read more Definitely will not be using again - and I would recommend others find a mom and pop storage company, or a company owned by individuals who see other individuals as human beings. I had a storage unit for 8 months at the rate of $185 per month. When it finally came time to move into my new place and retrieve my things from storage, it was the first week of the 9th month of storing my belongings at storage sense. I assumed there would be a prorated cost for moving out three weeks early- as there have been at every other storage facility I have ever used. (I am 60- I've used plenty.) I swept and dusted the unit prior to moving out, leaving it sparkly clean to ensure I could get that $138 refund allowance. As you probably guessed- I am writing this review because I did not get a prorated cost. Wether or not these things are company policy, it makes a massive difference in regards to securing long term customer relationships. In customer service, when a representative or manager meets a customer with understanding and can recognize an area where you can lose a small amount of money in order to establish a returning customer, it goes a long way- and actually benefits the company in the end. For example- now I have a load of seed for work that needs to be stored for 3+ years starting next month. Can you guess where I'm not going? The businesses I have frequented for 40+ years have made thousands off of me, near to millions. Rest assured that I'll never use this company again nor recommend it to anybody. Hell- I'll drive an hour and 20 just to give my money to individuals I like and respect - and feel respected by. And get this- These sons of bitches have rats too!

Received a call which informed me the reservation was in the system and I was scheduled to pick-up the trailer at 1030am. Not sure where 10:30am came from I wasn't going to be in town until 11am. I arrived at noon for the pick-up- apparently the 10:30am was just a place holder. They hooked up the trailer and I was off. However, the ball was installed "upside down" and when the trailer was fully loaded the load was too low to the ground. Drove back to U-Haul and they took a picture of their mistake to train the staff, corrected the problem, and apologized.

I mention this to the forklift operator who says "it will be corrected on the file" and says we are good to go. then on return find out the box was NOT corrected, that it is assigned to someone else, and have now been waiting an hour for it to be resolved so that I can have confirmation that it will be shipped to the right place. Don't bother with this location, or preferably m U-Haul at all.

As a matter of fact, Colorado Springs is on something called The Hail Belt Line, where we get hit with golf ball sized or bigger hail at high wind speeds. Look it up out-of-towners. There was a Hail Storm on 7/28/16 and I know for a fact that the roofs on this facility got hit hard, so hard that 4-5 inches of water poured into everyone's units and damaged all our belongings, and now mold is starting to grow and form on all our property. Trojan tricks you into signing a 3rd party insurance that claims this is flood damage, and it is not. None of our stuff is covered and Trojan nor Badger Insurance will pay for any of the damage. Do not use this facility and do not trust the front desk, they won't tell you about this, but they are quick to sign you up and take your money. If I could give 10 Negative Stars, I would!

How is this legal and the right way to take care of loyal customers? They are doing a bunch of building and I have a feeling this increase is to pay for their expansion. Yet they dont take care of the buildings they have, ie gutters, roofs. I have called and emailed and it took 3 days for someone to get back to me and they basically said pay up or leave. Check your contract, because they can raise the price EVERY month if they want. Yup, this shows they do not care about loyalty or keeping customers, and are only interested in making money. Look elsewhere, as I will end up having to do now as well.

Today we went to pick up our trailer from this storage for an upcoming trip. We could not get the…read moregate open. When we called, we were told that they would reset the gate and to wait five minutes. After five minutes we tried again and it still would not work. We called again and we're told they would reset it again and to wait five minutes. Again we waited and tried and it would not open. We drove to the office and again we were told they would reset it and to try again. After another failed attempt to open , we called and asked when it would be fixed. We were told that it could work later today, it might be tomorrow or it could be two weeks. When I asked about being reimbursed for the deposits on the campgrounds for our trip, she replied they wouldn't do it. She also said they were at the mercy of 'corporate' to get the gate fixed but refused to give any contact details for corporate. She suggested we keep driving back to see if the gate would work because she would have no way of knowing if it would work or not. We waited for a couple of hours and went back. It still did not work. Luckily there was someone leaving that tripped the interior switch that would open the gate. We retrieved the trailer and terminated the contract. It's just not worth dealing with people who aren't interested in helping their customers. AMENDED Corporate called me to go over what transpired today. They informed me that the gate will be fixed tomorrow. They seemed genuinely interested in what happened and making it right. I hope they do fix that gate and address the issue with site management.
