I was a member of this club for four years in the past. It has great dining- indoor and outdoor for members and their guests. Food has dramatically improved over the years- this club has grown its membership by leaps and bounds. They have a spectacular wine list of Australian wines as well and 3 bedrooms for members and reciprocal members. It has a lot of reciprocity with maybe 150 clubs in the USA, Europe, Africa, and Asia and others around Australia (I helped develop their reciprocal list). Members can dine, play golf, swim, sleep overnight, in other similar clubs around the world usually at well below market rate.
The clubs is across the street from a park where the old Formula One racecourse existed from 1985-1995. Parts of the old course are still used for auto racing.
It is a members club and as such is like a family home-it may be a bit dated here and there -but this is not a hotel - It is a club. A small culture of like minded people who have hung out since 1959. There are member families for generations there. Members go there to be with other members and dine and drink day after day and served by people who have made it their life's career to serve you. You know the servers like they are one of the family.
