Clinton Community Garden is a teaching garden and enables all to hone the importance of growing vegetables, plants and bloom flowers. There are benches for resting and lots of green. Very well maintained. Clinton Community Garden is a great example of a unification of a community and building bridges in working toward a common goal of a healthier environment and healthy living.

Clinton Community Garden is open to the public 20 hours every weekend (10 hours Sat & Sunday). The rest of that time, it is closed off for residents or for those who have key access. Children and residents in this neighborhood does have access 7 days a week (which is fantastic) to learn how to eat healthy, grow their own vegetables, and live a healthy lifestyle. What I like most about the garden is the opportunity for residents in this neighborhood to get out of their apartments, and have a special space to call their very own, whether it be vegetations or to plant beautiful flowers. There are quite a few tables and chairs and surprisingly little noise despise being by such a busy street. There are security guards in there so I feel safe and occasionally go around sweeping to keep the area clean. The only slight con would be the bird poop on some of the tables and chairs from the birds that occasionally get in. It's not too messy though. It's a great place if you're looking for a place to eat, get some work done, or rest for a while.

I found a mini-beach where I could get sandy feet while relaxing in an adirondack chair, a bathtub of goldfish for zen-like pond watching, wind chimes hidden in a tree, butterflies dancing between flowers, a vegetable garden, bees doing their pollinating work, and yes, even a mouse foraging for its share. For those who live near the garden, it also seems to have composting bins in the back, to help supply fertilizer for the garden and perhaps neighbors as well. It's certainly an Oasis in the city, with only a hint of noise from nearby 10th Ave, and very little traffic along 52nd St. My only reason for deducting a star is that it doesn't seem like it would be open often enough for many passersby to enjoy.

What most people are unaware of is the park hides a MTA ventilation facility for the East Side Access project to support the new Long Island Railroad terminal at Grand Central Terminal a few blocks away. The park is not as popular has some of the other pocket parks due to not having a small cafe or food outlet as some of the other pocket park in the area do have.
