Another place I have been passing for years and never realized it existed. If you have been by Taste of Tokyo, this is next door. Nondescript from the parking lot, it is surprisingly large when you step inside. First impression - clean and a lot of equipment.
After a stop at the Ochsner Sport Medicine Institute to confirm I was, in fact, a broken down athlete wannabe, I was referred to River Region PT. My stated goal is to run a 4.3 / 40 but I'm willing to settle for just the 40 part.
After an initial evaluation with Jeanne, a rehabilitation regime was developed and then it is a matter of putting in the time and effort. The staff is professional, but friendly and very organized. There can be as many as maybe a dozen patients at any given time, but you rarely spend more than a couple of seconds waiting for one of the therapist to direct you to the next exercise or treatment. They rarely use the cattle prod and it is generally only on the lowest setting.
