This is our second go around. Last year the Pirate (and I speak in layman's terms) popped the…read morerubber band that makes his elbow work. He needed a Frankenstein type of surgery to get it working and then several weeks of one on one Therapy. We chose Physiofit as it is conveniently located near our house. This building is surprising dull on the outside but, don't let appearances fool you. Inside you find a top of the line physical therapy facility paired with professional therapists. Their primary goal is to heal. While the Pirate was anxious to return to the boat, they explained the importance of proper physical therapy. It's a very important part of recovery and necessary as his job is labor intensive. Well with all that said, we're back a year later. Apparently his doc fixed him up so well that his poor shoulder couldn't take it. So another surgery, this time a new shoulder and back to the folks at Physiofit. 3 times a week, I'll bring him. They'll get him up and running again. In his case it will be up and turning valves and what not. Then it'll be yo ho ho and a Pirates life all over again.

To the Therapists, Staff and Office Personnel:…read more When told by my physician that they wanted me to try physical therapy for the pain in my ankle before other forms of treatment, I was hesitant but with the amount of extreme pain I was having I was willing to try anything. I was greeted with kindness, respect and given much informed information that helped me to understand where the pain was coming from. A regiment of 2 visits a week as well as a daily home exercise program was started and in just a few days I was feeling some relief. As the treatments continued there was a definite improvement as the therapy went forward with increased exercises focused on strengthening my ankle. The pain decreased and the program was altered to fit my capabilities as time went on. I was always asked how I was doing and how was the pain. I am very happy to say the pain subsided within the first few weeks and it was just a discomfort until it got to the point of feeling normal again. I sincerely want to thank Freddie Breaux, Terri Lynn, Linda, and Ashley who worked from start to finish with true concern for my health. Your patients are very fortunate to have such caring and experienced medical personnel to help with their recovery. From start to finish you were all excellent professionals. I want to thank each one of you and hope that future patients have the opportunity to experience your ability and give Physiofit the chance it deserves to show that they know how to help you. I was nervous and scared at first but I walked out happy and content knowing I have the knowledge to continue doing what I need to do to keep this condition under control. With Much Appreciation I say Thanks Again, Bonnie Morris

However, I went to Terrebonne Physical Therapy for my back surgery physical therapy. I have been blessed to have never had any problems with my back since. Dr. Mark told me if I did everything he said to do that I would be ok. I did and I am so blessed to not have problems. My physical therapy for my Knee replacements and revisions were done elsewhere. I was sort of told that it would be better to do the physical therapy in house with the doctor's therapist. Don't get me wrong, they were good. But I continued to have trouble with my knees even resulting in a knee revision which is having the knee replacement removed and a new one put in place. For my knee revision, I insisted on going back to Terrebonne Physical Therapy. If you have ever had a knee replacement or a manipulation, you will understand. I was tired of the pain mentally and physically. I am 4 weeks post op and my revision is wonderful. I have better range of motion than with either knee replacements. Their staff is amazing! Even during this virus pandemic, I have felt safe. They clean and disinfect everything before anyone can use the equipment. No waiting outside or in your car to be seen. They have adequate space to accommodate you. I am hoping to take advantage of their indoor pool once my incision is healed. I used the pool for my back recovery and I used the YMCA's pool for my knee's. (The therapy place I used for my knees did not have a pool) I give Terrebonne Physical Therapy my highest recommendation. Jane Sevin
