First stop? Casey's, where we stood around for 15 minutes so so he could turn on the air at the "haunted" house. I should have listened to my gut and left then. The next six, yes, SIX HOURS were spent hiking in a cemetery during a heat advisory, trespassing on private property, parking in front of houses Steve said were DEFINITELY haunted (It was dark, btw. Couldn't see anything) and traipsing around in a "haunted" house that was structurally unsound. Steve kept saying everything was cool bc he's in the Chamber of Commerce. He's not. The tour was supposed to be a birthday surprise for me and wound up being one of the worst days of my life. Run. Run FAST.

We drove my in laws the 1.25 hours to the museum and learned so much about Amelia Earhart. There was so much information I didn't know. My in laws were so impressed with the setup and how the museum is laid out. If you have kids, I definitely recommend! While there isn't a whole lot right around the museum, it's worth the visit to learn more about KS native. Farm to table, right? How about farm to table AT a farm's table?…read more Green Dirt Farm offers up an array of choices from their artisanal cheeses and pair those with a number of other agricultural offerings from Missouri. Their sheep's cheese has that tangy, yet savory, bite to it and marries well with any number of wine varietals. Missouri, and Weston in particular, produces climates and days of sun similar to those of French wine regions, so the vines produce a wonderful fruit suitable for bottling. Plus, when you add in other items to your wine 'n cheez, like sausages or local honeys, it's a party all around. We love to get a charcuterie and a couple of drinks, be they wine or local beer products, and find a seat outside. If you aren't sure what you want, then the friendly staff is more than willing to offer suggestions or other service. The tables out front, on an autumn day in particular, give that rustic feel that underscores the farm to table experience. Handy intel: If you are outside and you do get something sweet (think jam or honey), then you are bound to attract friends. The buzzing kind. Green Dirt Farm also has a fabulous selection of sammiches as well. I love the 'Ruby Don't Go Bacon My Heart', a grilled delight of local cheeses and crumbled bacon, served with a strawberry jam. It's SUBLIME, and you may regret sharing. And don't miss their handmade ice cream, with flavors rotating seasonally and always worth the indulgence. Wine, locally made goods, and even locally raised meats like lamb are sold in the shop, and you just can't leave empty-handed. It's super easy to find if you're coming in from the east, like off the 435 loop. Parking is where you want to park, seating is easy outside and even some inside, and the value far outstrips the price points. Stop and get some local artisanal goodies to go or order from the menu and stay awhile.

I had a 74 year old mom who's on a cane for over 30 minutes waiting outside the wrong address. Went inside found sound guy, he said and pointed to a lady coming up. The aisle was in charge. I told her the situation and she told me oh well that's their fault, no apology nothing just a oh well and I described where it's at she said SIR, I know where it's at my office is in there. Then, she turned around and left very amazingly rude. If ANYONE speaks to this lady, tell her a COUNTED 28 people outside the wrong address, means there's a problem, and a HUGE poster on the door of the WRONG PLACE doesn't solve it. ANYONE, with common sense, would've put the RIGHT ADDRESS on that poster on door so people don't think it's there at the wrong place and have to deal with the INCREDIBLY RUDE LADY that all she had to do was say its obviously a issue that i will look into it. The show says it's in RUBY THEATRE - WRONG THEATRE AND WRONG ADDRESS. BUT AMAZING SOUND OF MUSIC SHOW! I NEVER have been there, BUT I've heard other people saying they did the same thing in the past. Can someone ABOVE the rude lady look into the issue? She made it clear she doesn't care a tiny bit.
