I found out about John and Hot Wheels through Eurotech Performance Group, the nearby shop I take my car to for service. Eurotech owner Brian and his guys recently recommended Hot Wheels to me for headlight restoration. They've had great experiences with Hot Wheels so I was fully on board as soon as they mentioned it. I'd been wanting to get my headlights restored or get new headlights for years because my original ones had gotten oxidized and foggy. Over the years, I talked to different detailers about it and they all had different things to say such as: 1. They simply couldn't do it (headlight restoration). 2. They didn't recommend headlight restoration because it wouldn't last. 3. They couldn't do it because my bumper needed to be removed to access the headlights. (Fair enough.) 4. Whatever they told me did not give me confidence that the work would be worth it. The next time I took my car in for service at Eurotech, I had them work with Hot Wheels to get my headlights restored. Eurotech did the R&R bumper and headlight assembly work ($165 labor; if you know German cars, you know they aren't easy to work on) and Hot Wheels refinished my headlights ($150). Specifically, Hot Wheels sanded/resurfaced my headlights and then applied a layer of clear coat to it, just like the clear coat finish that protects a car's paint. Brian told me that this restoration will last a long time because of the clear coat. I love my "new" headlights and they make me happy every time I see them. Headlights make a big difference to the overall look of a car and having your headlights properly restored will instantly make your car look several years younger. Thank you to Brian, Chris, and Dustin at Eurotech for the recommendation and thank you to John and his crew at Hot Wheels for doing such phenomenal and timely work.
