The section by the left wall is full of these smoke items, so if you are looking for any, this is an option for you. They do carry some fun Asian snacks like Frito Lay Asia chips, Asian chocolates, etc. The young man working here was very nice and pleasant, letting me know that this business has been focused mostly on the smoke shop side of the business instead of the Asian grocery side. Lottery tickets are sold here as well.

(PREFACE: Yelp still lists this as "Moon Mart," even though the sign reads "Moon Market." My…read moreattempt to update the listing with Yelp was unsuccessful.) I often drive by this small convenience store on my way home from work, and have been meaning to stop by and check it out, so I could write a Yelp review. When I searched Yelp for "Moon Market," it was listed as being located on Park Avenue, which was confusing, because Yelp lists a "Moon Mart" at this address. Apparently, this store was also named "Reservoir Market Place" at one time. Anyhow, I eventually sorted out the confusion (basically, there are two stores with the same name, different locations and same ownership - read my other review). I will be submitting updated info to Yelp (sorry, I can't help it - I'm a stickler for accuracy). Anyhow, this is a small convenience store that occupies the left side of a small commercial building (a business called the Plant Store occupies the right side). There is parking in front and on the left side of the building. Although the parking lot is small, it is probably adequate for the volume of business. The store is nothing fancy and has a somewhat limited selection of drinks and snacks. I found only two noteworthy things: a large array of hookahs/bongs/water pipes or whatever those things are called; and a small cooler containing several flavors of Dippin' Dots (which are little balls of ice cream). The young man behind the cash register was somewhat friendly. Normally, I would rate a convenience store of this caliber two stars, but the Dippin' Dots elevated them to three stars. One thing I did notice was that Red Bull prices seemed high. I foresee myself stopping here only occasionally, when I have a craving for Dippin' Dots. Despite the heavy traffic on Reservoir Avenue, pulling out of here wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, since there is a traffic light at the side street on the left side of the parking lot.

But where they really excel is their take-out: they have breakfast, lunch and dinner. They offer great breakfast sandwiches and bakery, hot coffee, and for lunch they have nice deli fixings for sandwiches and salads. (You do need to order dinner ahead so they have enough). The new family running it is working hard and they are very responsive to community needs. I'd give them six stars if I could. (If only there was a place to sit and enjoy the food.)

Nowhere is it mentioned on their inconsistent IG that breakfast sandwiches are served until a certain time...I went in to see. I walk up to the deli counter, I say "hi how are you?" To the woman behind the counter. She says nothing and just looks at me like "what do you want?" I ask if breakfast is still going (it's 11:20qm btw) she snaps at me and says "nope. That's all done" the turns away from me. Before I could leave, I noticed the absolutely disgusting cases of chicken and God knows what in the deli counter, also the disgusting slop of old apple pie under an old ugly heat lamp. What an awful place. Owners should get a clue.

The family running the place was very friendly and helpful. We came here a few days after visiting Kaloo in Warwick. We bought the pistachio Dubai bar in Kahloo and they charged $14. Here at the Middle East Market they charged $9 for the same bar. Plus I feel like they more fluent in English at this store than Kaloo. You can find middle eastern home goods, spices, baked treats, drinks, sweets, international candies (found Flake bars from the UK), meal starter spice/seasoning mixes, frozen foods, and more. On the other side of the store they have smoke shop supplies and more bodega type stuff like snacks, refrigerated drinks, and other impulse buys. I can't really eat carbs anymore but a rose petal covered Turkish delight caught my eye. It was in the bulk candy section which they charge $11.75 per pound. The owner charged me 75¢ for my 1 piece and when I went home to weigh it it came out to almost the same price. All of the jars on the shelves were neatly arranged on the shelves. You could tell that they take great pride in the upkeep of the store. The shop is a little bit off the main road so it's easy in and out. Hope to visit this shop again soon!
