I ate so much on our trip to the Philippines!! One morning we ate breakfast at Providore inside Summit Galleria Hotel. Their breakfast buffet was included with our 1 night stay. It is 495 Philippine Pesos per adult, and about half the price per child.
They have a nice variety of choices for breakfast. Of course there are plenty of Filipino food such as Cebu Longanisa, dried fish, suman, and pan de sal. There are also western choices such as little pancakes and waffles.
I think their signature item is the Ube Champorado. If you are a Filipino, then you must try it cause it is super yummy!!!! If you are a foreigner, then I highly suggest trying it too. I had never seen ube flavored champorado before that morning. I am used to the traditional chocolate flavored champorado. What is Champorado? Traditionally, it is a chocolate flavored rice porridge. I love eating it with dried salted fish cause it the perfect combination of sweetness and saltiness!
My favorite item from their buffet was their Ensaymada. I ate so many of their mini ensaymadas! They were soft, round, sugary, and topped with cheese. I loved their version of this traditional Filipino pastry/bread.
We enjoyed the buffet at Providore. Service was top notch. The restaurant was very clean. I recommend them. read more
