This is for the sm seaside city branch: I bragged To my family that after flying in from…read morecalifornia, CC's grilled bone marrow was to die for. Upon reaching the restaurant, and seeing the table postcard showing the bone marrow, I immediately ordered the same, and other dishes to compliment the marrow, but only to find out that there is no available marrow (for non delivery). It was quite upsetting, and before they take orders, we should have been advised beforehand, so we don't have to eat there anymore. And since we already ordered , we just decided to continue on. However, the calamari was hard, the pork barbecue didn't taste like a standard pork barbecue, the grilled oysters and mussels were drowning with a confusing in taste topping, and the chicken was somewhat bland. The bam-I was ok, and so was the garlic shrimp. This is the second time I got frustrated that this branch had no grilled bone marrow. I certainly won't come back and brag about this place anymore. The least they could have done was offer something in consolation for what happened. In any case, Choobi choobi is no longer one of my favorites here in Cebu. We should've just gone to Abuhan to satisfy our craving for good Cebuano food.

A little disappointed because I heard good things about this place.

But, now, I'm seeing more branches opening in Manila. This branch was one of the original restaurants. It didn't seem like much from the outside. Once you enter, the place is very clean and has modern interiors. You have 2 choices where to dine: the air-conditioned area and the al fresco area. We stayed in the air-conditioned area because it was hot that day. Kuya J serves Filipino dishes such kare kare, crispy pata, and pochero. If I were you, skip all the meat and go straight for the Grilled Scallops! This is the best-seller and most popular appetizer. It's a simple dish actually. Scallops are topped with cheese and BUTTER then grilled. Served hot and fast, it only costs Php210 (4.51USD) per plate. We ended up ordering 3 plates. LOL! Other dishes you should try: Chorizo Dinamitas (chilis stuffed with chorizo meat), Lumpia Presko, and, for dessert, Tablea Flan with Coffee Syrup (chocolate flan with coffee caramel). Also, try their Dalandan Beer :) Overall, it was a pleasant surprise and we enjoyed our meal (even though it was mostly the Scallops!). If you're in Cebu, you should eat here! :)

We were impressed by how sizeable the portions are, and we were happy with the quality of the food. It really is the fast food place for Filipino food even in the Philippines, just as it is in the states. The service was friendly, and the dining area was similar to a mall food court. The palabok was sweet and saucy, and the spaghetti was sweet but could've used a bit more meat. We definitely wouldn't go back for classic Filipino dishes, as there is a limited menu, with mainly noodle and chicken-focused dishes, but we would go back for something quick or if we were craving fried chicken.

If you come as a group and order individually, they can bring food to only one person first, leaving others having to stare at the lucky one.
