Worse? Another post from the same employee exposed my diagnosis and insurance info she got while helping me become a patient. Now Vista's lawyer is trying to say they're not responsible and acting like it's no big deal. This could happen to you. If they'll do this to me, they'll do it to anyone. Think twice before trusting Vista Oncology with your personal health information. I am in the process of filing a lawsuit against Vista Oncology for a serious and unlawful breach of my protected health information (PHI), in violation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other applicable privacy laws. A receptionist named Faye used her position at the clinic to harass me and publicly disclosed my private medical and insurance information. This is not just a violation of trust; it is a violation of federal law. After I filed a formal complaint, the clinic's manager, Meghan, contacted me and responded not with concern but with further harassment and belittlement. Her conduct was retaliatory and unprofessional, demonstrating that Vista Oncology does not prioritize patient rights, safety, or compliance with federal law. Instead of taking accountability, Vista Oncology is now attempting to cover up the incident by pressuring me to sign a nondisclosure agreement. This is a clear effort to silence me and avoid public scrutiny and legal consequences. Let me be clear. This is a medical facility that protects its employees at the expense of its patients. If you value your privacy and expect your medical information to be handled lawfully and ethically, do not seek care at Vista Oncology. No patient should have to fear that their PHI will be weaponized or made public by the very people entrusted to protect it.

A year ago, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Being that it is slow growing, I spent a couple months researching the best course of treatment, given the biopsy results. To my surprise, many urologists/oncologists do a "hard sell" on the treatment they suggest. Some were downright pushy. One, I walked out of. To my relief, Dr Randy Sorum did not make a hard sell. A couple different radiation based options were presented. We discussed non-radiation treatments as well. In the end, it was my choice (borrowing a line from the feminists : "it's my body! I have a right to choose.") Last summer I went through 5 weeks of daily external radiation. This was followed by two high dose internal zaps of my prostate. I can't praise the staff and Dr Sorum enough for their professionalism and what used to be called bedside manner. I actually looked forward to my daily zapping and those who zapped me (zap is probably not an acceptable medical term). Each day was like having coffee with friends. Six months later, all is clear and my body is doing right on what Dr Sorum said it would as it recovers from the radiation. I can't ask for more than that. Other than I am a little disappointed I don't glow in the dark. (-;

The nurses here would make me follow up with my own insurance about my medication which is is something a provider is responsible for. They told me multiple times that something was wrong with my (State) insurance...Even though I have medicaid. The funny part is; when I challenged them in their office and asked them who they had spoken with at my insurance agency, they couldn't provide a name or number. Then, they had the audacity to say "Well I called you two hours before your appointment." That doesn't do anything for anyone. You had an entire month to work on ordering and scheduling my infusion. I got upset because this was the third time this had happened. They even went as far as saying "well last month we used our in house on you and we never got our stock back" And don't get me started on how after you decided i was being "Very aggressive" when I just wanted to know why I wasn't being helped; your office decides its going to call the cops on me. And to make it even better, Dr. Osborn literally walked outside and demanded that I stay in my vehicle and then put a mask on if I wanted to talk to him while I was trying to leave because I was literally shaking with frustration. This man has the audacity to treat me like a child. I got out of my car so I could be at the same level as him. I didn't want him talking down to me so I got out of the car. He then treated me like I was going to attack him as he ran away inside the building. I walk with a cane and have balance issues. I feel like he had his day 30 years ago and he just doesn't want to quit until he kills everyone who walks through his door. That is an exaggeration. But the fact that only one of three places in this whole state has infusion sites is pretty terrible.

Shannon is very up to date on all the happenings around the most controversial health topics and conversations around the body's ability to heal itself and therapies used to encourage these natural processes. After seeing several "doctors" to get a good feel for a PCP, I feel very confident in HIS knowledge, ability to communicate why certain therapies work and HOW they work. So many "doctors" are so run-of-the-mill and I swear I don't know how they can even consider themselves "practicers" of medicine. Shannon clearly reads the literature and has a passion for his work. I have seen him twice so far for established care, blood work, and help with an acute injury. I look forward to continuing care with him. My wife will be seeing him soon and I hope to bring my 5 children to him as well.

Our first meeting with Dr. Blau was very positive. We had confidence she's is the one who might…read morehelp my wife. However, after she wasn't accepted to the clinical trial Dr. Blau has been running - her attitude towards my wife has changed dramatically. We waited for weeks upon weeks to hear *anything* from NWMS (Northwest Medical Specialties) or Dr. Blau. She only called us once and after that we had calls from NWMS to schedule an appointment with her may be once a month - all the while my wife's situation was deteriorating on a weekly and then daily basis. There was no care provided, nobody at NWMS (least of all Dr. Blau) was willing to appeal our medical insurance when they refused to cover the trial drug. We were totally and utterly left on our own devices. Prior to a clinical trial when my wife was found to have a new brain lesion (practically a death sentence, you know) Dr. Blau couldn't be bothered to pick up a phone and talk to us *for almost a week*! And then it was "Well, doctor, should we do something about it, like may be scheduling another Gamma Knife procedure? - Sure, go ahead and schedule it with Harborview." Well, excuse me, what have you been doing for the last week once you learned my wife has a new brain lesion?! Definitely, not trying to schedule anything on your end. Later, other providers would be spending *weeks* chasing Dr. Blau to simply speak with her on the phone about my wife's medical condition because we were "lucky" to have her as our primary oncologist and it was way too late to switch providers. On top of everything else, her office submitted my wife to a series of very costly tests (FoundationOne being one of them, be careful if she mentions one) which later considered charging us their full cost - Dr. Blau or anybody else in the clinic didn't think it would be a good idea to discuss with us a potential cost of tests if a patient isn't accepted to a clinical trial. But why am I not surprised - obviously, neither Dr. Blau neither her staff at NWMS (except very few people) gives too much thought about the patients physical and emotional well-being. UPDATE: that was taken care of later, we're not responsible for FoundationOne bill any more. In short, I wouldn't recommend anyone to start care with Dr. Blau. If, God forbid, your situation gets complicated and you are not accepted to the clinical trial she's running - she will immediately drop your case, leave you out in the cold, take vacations, holidays, travel to conferences all she wants while you'll be waiting in vain for somebody to get in touch with you about anything - that's exactly what happened to us . When my wife passed away I contacted all doctors one by one who were actually fighting for her life and thanked them all sincerely, knowing they did the best they could. Dr. Blau doesn't deserve this. She did absolutely nothing to help or at the very least comfort my wife emotionally when the end was inevitable and she was suffering the most. An absolutely cold and careless doctor we met in our lives. Let this review be my wife's last words about a horrible treatment she received at Northwest Medical Specialties with Dr. Blau.

Cancer is a horrible disease with no regard for who you are or what you have accomplished in your life. I found Dr. Chue after visiting with 6, yes 6, different oncologists, including flying across the country to visit not 1 but 2 major cancer hospitals. I did my own research, YOU MUST BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE WHEN YOU FIND OUT YOU HAVE CANCER. I did so much research that it became my my only focus for months while healing from a surgery so I could begin chemo. All of the other hospitals and Drs I met with were so focused on the algorithms and making me part of their study that I doubt they actually heard me. From the moment I met Dr Chue, he listened to me and spoke to me like I was the only patient he had. ( I CERTAINLY WAS NOT) I wanted to survive, my cancer was bad! I listened to him as he spoke with compassion. He was honest about my cancer. HE TOLD ME TRUTHS - EVERYONE HAS A DIFFERENT BODY, CANCER AND TREATMENTS AFFECT PEOPLE DIFFERENTLY! Hard to hear those words but I appreciated the truth! After 6 oncologists, I picked Dr. Chue! He did not promise me I'd survive, he said we'd fight it as long as I wanted to fight. He told me it would not be easy. He told me not everyone wins the battle, bodies are different and people react differently! I'm beyond grateful, I just don't know if it would have been possible for me to win the battle had it been any Dr other than Dr Chue! I'm now 6/7 years out. When I say it's a miracle, it truly is! I know that not everyone has such a successful result but one thing I do know is that Dr. Chue is an ANGEL in a HUMAN BODY! God put him on this earth to be ahead of his time and to have more compassion than any Dr I have ever known. His knowledge is immeasurable! Thank you Dr. Chue and thank you to his staff for your boundless knowledge and thank you for giving me more time on this earth!

Dr Chue has a wonderfully talented and skilled supportive staff that works together to help the patient heal, including the wonderful nurses who administer the infusions. I can't recommend Dr Chue and Lifespring highly enough!!!
