I meant to post this a week ago, but things got a bit busy…read more I want to start by saying that my AC went out recently...warmest two days we had this spring. We made a call to Lake Gaston HVAC and set up an appointment for when we would be back to the lake. He worked around our schedule and and showed up earlier than planned. His knowledge of the systems was incredible as I was just trained in the history of my insufficient unit I had in place. He provided me with two options of which my wife and I went with option 2. Option 1 was to refull the freon again, which should not be leaking. We bought a new unit and air mover. We knew it was time but we were not ready last year. So, we set up a date and time. The install went without any issues and we were up and running with peace of mind. I highly recommend Pat and LAKE GASTON HVAC, which I have already done to my neighbor. Thank you!!!!

Wow! He's the real deal: punctual, honest, everything done with integrity, and clear communication at every step of the maintenance and/or repair he's performing. What you've read in the company's overwhelmingly positive reviews was validated by our experience with Pat. We're confident Lake Gaston HVAC will earn your long-term loyalty. They've certainly earned ours.

The company has a reputation for doing work at a reasonable price. They have installed heating and air conditioning units in several of my rental properties without any problems. For instance, as a landlord of several local properties, if there's an electrical, heating or an AC problem, the tenants are instructed to contact the company directly. I was informed that I had a small leak in the front yard at my lake property, but I wasn't there to…read moresee it myself. I wanted to get it fixed ASAP, so I called Pierce's Plumbing. I told him that I wasn't sure what was going on, but it sounded like there was a small leak and I wasn't sure if it was something I was responsible for or if the county needed to handle it. It's a new property in a new city for us, so I was unaware the water meter was near the street instead of at the house. He was short with me, and treated me as if I was ridiculous for not knowing this. He was rude through our entire conversation. I told him I didn't live there full time, but I would be there Friday afternoon and all weekend. He spouted off something loud and fast, and then handed his phone to a woman who took my information. On Friday, I received a phone call from a different man who told me they were going to drive over and take a look. He was much nicer. I explained that I was in the car on the way there, but it would be a little while before I arrived. He said it was okay - they were 30 minutes away. When I got to the house approximately 90 minutes later, they were already gone, and it looked like there was a dug up area where the leak was. No one called me to tell me what was wrong or what they had to do to fix it. I had no idea if they just looked at it and left or if it was fixed. Weeks later, I received a bill for TWO HOURS of labor ($75 an hour) and $5.50 worth of parts. A grand total of $166.39. It's clear I was taken advantage of. There is no way they were there for 2 hours - his phone number and when I arrived there later makes that pretty clear. Last, even though I spelled my last name out phonetically (as I always do), it's absolutely mutilated on the bill. I also gave them my phone number, but for some reason, my parents phone number is on the bill as well. I haven't lived at home in 15 years, so that means they must have looked up my name online the CORRECT way to find old phone number, but still managed to misspell it on the bill and add letters that aren't even close. It looks really unprofessional. Overall, I'm just really disappointed. I have ran my own small business for 4 years, and I've been in customer service my entire professional career. They're missing the mark in all categories. Do yourself a favor and pick a different company.
