I certainly do not recommend for anybody to work for this company. They are very disorganized. She never apologized for not calling me for the 3rd interview. I suspect that they are understaffed and have no respect for employees, neither do they value them or the position. If they cannot respect their own employees, they won't respect their customers either. It is a huge red flag!

The food was excellent, facility super clean, Rehab therapists excellent and overall care good. We did have some challenges with my husband's demanding care at first but overtime we worked it our with the caring Director of Nursing Annie and amazing new Executive Director Michael. There were so many positives at Brazo Towers that I recommend it. The care of a stroke patient such as my husband is very difficult and necessitates a very active family advocate all the time. We were very disappointed in the lack of patient activities. Although a vigorous monthly calendar was posted very little activities occurred during my husband's stay. When we were leaving we saw indication regarding possible improvement in that area as well.

Their patience and compassion for their memory challenged residents is wonderful. My mother was moved out of memory care, into their long term care, because she was no longer a flight risk. The care in that section was very good but not as attentive as the long term care area. I was thrilled when Meagan said she wanted to move mother back to the memory care section where she still resides. I enjoy visiting her there because I can take her outside to their covered pavilion where she can enjoy sunshine and fresh air.

My uncle was there during Christmas and I found him laying in his own urine. I'm not sure how long…read morehe had been like that. I asked for him to be cleaned up and in about 20 minutes someone came and it was done in less than 10 minutes. I later asked a nurse to give him something for excruciating pain. 30 minutes later, she had not come so I had to ask her again. There were no paper or cloth towels in the bathroom so he could not dry wash his hands after using the facility. His supplied wheelchair (which had a missing foot rest) fell apart when trying to move him. This home appeared to have adequate resources. It appeared relatively clean and free of extreme negative odors. There was one woman who was very helpful and the nurse eventually did get the medication to my uncle. If I had the authority, I would move my uncle elsewhere. I am compelled to write this review with hopes that this facility will improve because it is in a favorable Pearland area location and the residents were very nice. They should put forth extra effort during the holidays since that is when residents will have the most visitors.

When I asked why, employees indicated the products they used had been recalled. OK,THEN GO PURCHASE SOMETHING ELSE. We bought our own for my room and several employees used it. Even a couple doctors. Side note, they did ask permission, and of course, we said yes. I was left in soiled diapers on several occasions. I was unable to walk so I was completely dependent on the staff as many patients are. Most of the CNA's did not care about the patient. They took their time responding to calls for help. Their goal seemed to be to get the lights turned off but not to address the reason for the call light. Some would talk on their phone while in my room, the conversations were often inappropriate. On several occasions, we saw roaches. Gross, gross, gross. The nurses were better. The CNA's were horrible. High praise to the PT/OT staff! The only good thing about this facility. I blame upper management for not firing the unqualified, uncaring staff. Also, they are the ones who did NOT supply the place with hand sanitizer. Don't stay there or put a family member in this place.
