If I could give this business a minus number, I would! Here is the background to my experience.
I am looking to buy a house in a particular area, and preferably on a particular street where some friends live. I am coming in from out of the area. I came to visit my friends for a few days, and today I noticed a realty sign in front of a house on that street indicating that the house will be up for sale soon. I called the sales guy whose name and phone number were on the sign. The name on the sign says Don Hoang.
A man answered with what I think was "Hello." I didn't really understand because of his very heavy and choppy accent. He said something that I didn't understand, followed by something that sounded like what was I calling for. I said that I couldn't understand him well and if I could speak with someone who spoke English because I was interested in seeing and possibly putting in an offer on the house. He said something else I didn't understand and what sounded like "Sh*t" and he hung up on me.
Needless to say, I was shocked and astounded! First of all, if you are a business person here providing services to the PUBLIC at large, you need to SPEAK ENGLISH! If you don't want to speak with English-speaking customers in this country, it means that you are refusing to provide your services to us -- which further means that you are in VIOLATION of the LAW by DISCRIMINATING against us! Please become EDUCATED in how to conduct business in California and the federal and California laws that apply to you!
I was going to let it go, but I decided to try again to see if anyone else would answer who spoke English. This time the person just hung up the phone. I didn't get to even say one word. At that point, I had had it with these people's rudeness and I found the main number for the realty company. I called. A woman answered who was also extremely difficult to understand, but she was not as difficult to understand as the first guy. I asked who the broker was so that I could speak with the person. She said that the broker wasn't in. I then proceeded to tell her what had happened and that they need to train their salespeople and whatever other staff they have to be PROFESSIONAL and COURTEOUS. She didn't seem to care at all about what I reported to her. She did seem more interested, however, when I told her that I am specifically interested in buying a house on that street and that now I will absolutely NOT work with their realty company or with any other realty company as regards that house because I am not going to let them earn a commission from my purchase of the house.
I would NOT recommend anyone to deal with this company. Rude people should not be in a business that requires them to provide a service to the public! read more
