The owner truly listened to my concerns and went out of his way not to sell me anything I didn't need. His TV set up at several local sports bars is absolutely amazing and makes for great football and other sports to view. Also very reasonable prices and the job always gets done right and on schedule. I believe free support services are included for at least one year.

Art came over and went through our system, he made a few recommendations and we decide to have his company change the system. We are very happy with our decision. I would not hesitate to use Shield Security Systems again if necessary and to recommend them to anyone in need.

Don't fall for their deceptive business practices. They quote a price for upgrading THEIR system…read moreonly to double the price a few months later. They will not tell you that your central station monitoring is not active yet they will bill you every month and cash your check. I have been paying for a service I was not getting. If you call for service you always get dumped to an answering machine with a long, unprofessional greeting. On the callback, they place blame on you, the customer. They do not care if you have been a loyal customer for years. Fortunately there are many other options in the area. Call elsewhere and save the headache.

When receiving a quote about service, question the labor charge in GREAT DETAIL! I was charged…read more$1530 for labor based on my service quote. When I emailed for details, I received a phone call within 15 minutes from the sales rep. He explained it was for two days with two techs based on the need for extensive multi-floor drilling from attic to basement with extra wiring having to be run based on length of service need. On day of install, one tech arrived. I asked where was the others on the team? I was told that only one installer was required. After reviewing the property, the tech said that most of what was listed on the work order was unnecessary and floor drilling would not be needed. Then I was told that the job would be for one day, not two. The tech arrived soon after 9:00am and was done by 3:00pm with time for lunch. About 6 hours work. My labor quote was for two days and two techs. So, that comes to around $250 an hour at a grossly misrepresented charge. When I contacted the sales rep, his only reply offered a small discount on future services and a refusal to adjust the labor charge. Attempts to discuss with the General Manager were just as dismissive. It was nearly 30 days to get a response from the manager and that was nothing more than a refusal of conversation as well. A direct quote "We have nothing more to talk about. You may contact the State Attorney General's Office of Consumer Affairs to register a complaint. Be sure to reference our PA State HICPA Registration Number PA005693 when you do to speed the process along." I would highly recommend not going with Altronics. If you do, make sure that the labor portion is line item entered in writing with every detail listed to make sure you don't get taken advantage of as well.

I found 1 Solution AV after posting a local neighborhood Facebook group to help with installation…read moreof my security doorbell video cameras. The home did not have a wired electric doorbell which was required for my cameras, and Adam (owner of 1 Solution AV) was quick to reach out. I had initially asked for recommendations for electrician but appreciated that he reached out privately to explain what I would need done. Adam immediately offered to come over and look at what I would need done and provided a free estimate. His communication / response time was quick and professional. Throughout the estimate he was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. After receiving the quote, he provided his card and without pressuring whatsoever said to call if I was interested. I reached out the same day to get scheduled. He was again quick to respond and booked me within the same week. He even reached out again to help move my installation to a Sunday morning due to the weather forecast. The installation went smoothly and quickly, and he was professional throughout the entire experience. We had some hiccups with the security system equipment (no fault of his own) and he was quick to assist as I spoke to the security system customer service. I would highly recommend Adam and 1 Solution AV and will absolutely use again for any additional services as we get settled into our new home.
