    Successful installation

After getting some high estimates from another place and two big box stores, my wife stumbled into Pro Stone while going to Costco. She found a counter she liked and they came out in a couple days to measure, and gave an estimate over $1,000 less (thanks Ross). From measuring to installation was about a week. The installers did a great job getting the counters placed, leveled, drilled for faucets, undermount sink installed, and very methodically cleaned. I have very high expectations and they met them at every point in the process. Highly recommended.

We participated with 6 or 7 other people, so it was a a good small group but we did enjoy chatting with the other attendees. Our instructor was fun, friendly, and knowledgeable and answered all our questions along the way. We started with a spring mix salad and for the entree, she made a veggie option and one with sausage. Both were delicious, but my favorite was definitely the meat version. I love that this was just an hour long and so a little more budget friendly and also if you call the shop and book directly, you can save the online booking fees so keep that in mind. I definitely plan to attend another class - these are such fun, interactive, and tasty events and they are helping me get into cooking more which has been a longtime goal of mine., The demo kitchen is in the back of the shop, the rest of the store is full retail with home and kitchen goods, decor, gifts, etc. You get 10% off your purchase after taking the demo class, so don't forget that. @azfitfoodfun

Look over their events calendar and you'll see they offer several cooking classes a week, including some which are specifically targeted towards children. With a roomy kitchen setup in the back of the store, there are every kind of class you can think of which allow you to try to cuisines, learn new techniques, and try new tools. Today's visit was a children's class, taught by Nissa and assisted by Jennifer (the website lists all the instructor profiles.) Nissa is an elementary school teacher and was FANTASTIC with keeping a group of kids engaged, learning, and feeling welcomed. The kids were given cookbooks, walked step-by-step through several recipes, and got to be hands-on through every step of the process. They learned how to safely use tools, how to mix the ingredients, and at the end of the class got to eat what they had made. My niece LOVED this experience, and as the adult in corner watching I was a bit jealous. Of course, the adults are not required to stay, and they told me some parents choose to go shop or get a treat in Thru-Way while the class happens, but we were also welcome to watch. Personally, I spent some time wandering the store and was enamored with such a massive selection of kitchen tools and home goods. I ended up buying a few of the tools they used during the class to bring home (like a really nifty tool for mincing garlic, or a strawberry huller!). I'm planning to come back and try one of these classes for adults in the future. They told me that some of the adult classes are more observation while some are hands-on, so check the calendar, but I fully recommend checking the classes out for a fun activity. And if education isn't your thing, swing by one afternoon while you're shopping to check out the very broad inventory offerings in the store. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful!

I knew that it would be difficult to be without my kitchen for the project, especially as I care for my 93-year-old mother. I chose Anderson Moore because I knew that after having completed an accessible bathroom project with them in 2023 that they would have the work done as quickly as possible and deliver a beautiful result. I was not a bit disappointed. I was surprised to read in a different review that Anderson Moore was not interested in more modest homes. I have never felt that way. My 1960 ranch has suffered some "benign neglect" over the years, which helped my late husband and myself to purchase it in 2002. Little had been done since we knocked down a partition wall and recovered the kitchen floor in 2002. To me, Anderson Moore delivers excellent value for my money and their consistent and effective communication throughout the project minimized the stress involved in any remodel, especially the kitchen.

First, I will say I am disabled veteran with a HISA grant for a no threshold shower and was hoping…read moreto get a professional and reputable contractor. Erik Anderson seemed professional upon first meeting him, however he seemed as if he assumed we didn't have enough money to afford them. We purchased a 1970's built home 5 years ago that is well maintained, yet dated, and in a highly desired neighborhood. We have been wanting to upgrade our kitchen and bathrooms for a while now. We contacted AndersonMoore Kitchen & Bath and received a quick response and inspection by Erik Anderson of our 5x7 bathroom within 1 week. That is when it all went down hill. Erik Anderson first acted like our house was beneath him when he presented himself and walked in our house. He instantly started taking notes and kept questioning our ability to pay with subtle hints (this might be above your price range) for the renovation. We assured him we had no trouble paying for the renovation thinking that that would end the questioning, it did not. He took notes and kept trying to add more services onto our renovation even after the constant questioning of pay. After he left he assured us he would have a quote without 1 to 1 1/2 weeks. After 3 weeks we decided to call and never received a call back. We then received a condescending email that gave a ridiculous quote just for the shower of $15-18K. And was advised that we should call West Shore. He never quoted the job, which was a full bathroom tear down and remodel. We researched contractors and knew they were higher than most, however, we wanted to go with a higher end contractor that we hoped we could trust. Below is the snippet from his email after we called several times asking for a quote. "I have been working on the pricing for your project. If I remember correctly, the VA allows about $6300 or $8300 (can't remember which) for this type of work. We are significantly above that amount. Quick number for the zero threshold shower is about $15,000-$18,000. I would suggest looking at West Shore Homes. Their process and product is very different from ours. It is not tile. It is some type of solid surface material. But they have a system that allows them to be very efficient. I would suggest contacting them for some pricing for your project. I am sorry we can't help but hopefully West Shore can. Thank you and have a good day." The quote is not only very vague, but it also does not break down all the services we requested. This is a perfect example of someone that dresses professionally but lacks the skill and know- how to properly break down and develop a quote. We then called several times on his mobile phone and office to ask about the email. We have yet to receive a response after 2 weeks. The quote is not only almost 2 1/2 times the national average for 5x7 bathroom remodel, his amount only covers the single walk-in-shower remodel. AndersonMoore lacks professionalism and from our experience over inflates their quote or gives ridiculous quotes to those they feel cannot afford their services. We never told him what our budget was and he never asked. These types of contractors are the ones that will be crying the loudest in the next big recession. We do not recommend AndersonMoore Kitchen & Bath for any military active duty, veteran, or civilian unless you live in a very affluent neighborhood.

The Ferguson employee attempted to find a match on a chart that was tapped to the counter but was unsuccessful. He took the Shower Stem to a back room with a last ditch effort to find a match but couldn't. He returned the Shower Stem back to me, I thanked him for his efforts and left the store. When I arrived at my next plumbing store, at that time is when I saw that the Stem Washer Holder had been badly damaged and bent. That was not the condition of the Stem Washer Holder when I gave the Shower Stem to the Ferguson employee to find a replacement. The showroom here is nicely outfitted with many product lines on display for one to see and touch in person. However, there has never been any effort to offer competitive prices. I have given the Ferguson rep detailed price quotes and asked for matching numbers with no accommodation offered. IMO if you don't care that you are paying 25% more for identical fixtures give this business your patronage. Otherwise there are better options easily found.
