I received a call from the manager, Ali Smyth, early the next morning. She proceeded to give me information about cost for repair and recommended a full inspection of my vehicle. This service totaled over $800, and could potentially be in the thousands after labour/extra parts for issues that have not yet been determined. I explained that I was not interested in a full inspection and only wanted a new belt and the gear shifter inspected. Ali became irate. She raised her voice to me, interrupted me while I was speaking and was overall rude to me on the phone. I asked to speak to another staff member and she refused. She said, "I am the manager, so you will speak to me." I did not request to speak to the manager, and honestly I would have been happy to speak to anyone else other than her. When I requested to speak to someone else a second time, she hung up the phone on me. I called right back and another staff member answered the phone. We discussed the conversation between Ali and I. I explained that I only wanted the belt replaced on my vehicle with no other work to be completed. I came to Napa Auto to pick up my vehicle the same day (Aug 18 /23). The staff member at the counter and I spoke about my conversation with Ali. I said that I would give her the opportunity to apologize if she felt inclined to do so. The staff member went in the back to speak to her about it, but returned saying she was no longer in the building and wouldn't be returning until much later. I have not received an apology or a follow-up call from Ali. In the end, I was charged $295.01 for a new belt. Due to this experience, I will not be returning to Napa Auto in Innisfail.

On Saturday I got a flat tire in Madden, AB and had to get AMA to come change my tire. I tried to get into Canadian Tire to have them fix it, and they told me the hole was "Too big for the plug" and that I needed to buy a new tire. And they were going to charge me a fortune for it because I have 17" low-profile tires. I took it in to Don this morning and he had a look at it and was able to fix it. I ALWAYS recommend OK tire to my friends and colleagues when they ask me where a good place to buy tires is. Even if they live in Calgary, the quality of service is well worth it.

At the time it was hard starting, wouldn't idle and the live well pump was not working. Dirk's put it back in good working order. We took it out on the lake and were impressed by how well it run. They also repaired the aerator pump in the live well.
