The most interesting things they have to offer appear to be placed in highlighted locations around the room and they really are beautiful pieces. Compared to the quality and prices of vintage in London, everything in Reign is a complete bargain, with most items in great condition and ranging from £5-£30. It is in Commercial Road, Swindon…read more With the credit crunch hitting us hard, it is a good place to pick up a bargain, as you can buy second hand goods there cheaper than you can buy similar goods new. They sell everything from jewellery to mobile phones, to Televisions, games consoles and games to bikes. They pay a fair price for goods that they buy from you. It is not exactly in the town centre, but only about 5 minutes walk away. There is a car park across the road, which is pay and display.

They test the items before paying you, so nobody can trade in broken items. They sell all the items that are traded in for good prices so you can pick up a bargain. Obviously you don't know if they will have what you want as it is a second hand shop, but it is definitely worth a look.

And if you have a specific style in mind, for example, a nice tweed, the the owner lady definitely has some kind of mental catalog of her stock. So if you feel overwhelmed, she can pick some stuff out for you if she has an idea of what you're looking for. Even though it might not be quite as good as Bristol's Park street there are two shops you should really take a look at; The Yellow Shop and Jack & Danny's. Jack & Danny's looks and smells every inch a typical retro clothing store. The shop is so jammed packed with dressed, jackets, shoes and bags that their rails literally explode onto the street outside. This is literally floor to ceiling vintage heaven. You need strong arms and a whole lot of patience to push back the clothes and discover a gem, but if you take the time you'll hopefully find something you love. The ladies who work at Jack & Danny's are perfectly pleasant, but they're there to pick out the best fashion available, not to make idle chit chat (so if friendly service is what you're after - you're better off at The Yellow Shop).
