I never had the Invisalign trays even made, I had a total of ONE visit to the office for that one initial consult and exam. I was medically unable to proceed with the treatment due to jaw pain. After that resolved, life changes prompted a move out of state. Again, I only had ONE visit with this provider. When I contacted them to talk about options, they asked if I'd be able to start the trays and then fly back here periodically for check ins. (lol!) I told them I couldn't obviously, so my only other option was to cancel the contract (the trays were never even made). I was made to pay over $400 to end the contract. My insurance made multiple payments to them, yet I was told that they charged these exorbitant fees for consultation and imaging. So for one visit with this provider, I'm out not only the deposit, but over $400 to end the contract. What a scam!!!!!!

I was referred to Dr. Murphy in 2016 but I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted to do. In 2022 I decided to have a consultation and move forward with straightening my teeth. I chose braces :) I took great care of them and each visit at their office they took great care of me. You get Murphy money at the end of your scheduled appointment which is neat because the more you have you get a prize. After one year, my braces came off and I had to wear invisalign to help move some teeth where my braces couldn't. I recently finished my treatment plans and now I wear a retainer. I love the way my teeth look and my smile is so much better! I could say so much more about my experience here! Overall we had a fantastic appointment and everyone was very polite and nice. Great service. I was pretty overstimulated when I walked in the office. I get that they're trying to create a fun atmosphere for kids while they wait. My daughter is 2 and does not watch screens and there were screens everywhere. I realize I'm the minority with this. The tree in the middle is nice so I was having her point out the different animals in the tree. I appreciate that we had a private room for her first appointment, as I noticed several chairs in an open space. As expected, my daughter cried and was not a fan of getting her teeth looked at. The assistant and doctor were very kind and patient with her and took the time to explain everything to us and answer our questions. My daughter was happy to get a new toy at the end.

Update:01/28/2026 I…read morevisited a highly recommended dentist at a different office and learned that the information provided by Goodyear Orthodontics was inaccurate. I was told I had a one-surface filling, when in fact it is a four-surface filling, which now requires a crown and possibly a root canal. The new dentist could physically see the cavity, raising serious concerns about how this office failed to diagnose obvious decay. It is unacceptable for a dental practice to miss decay that is visible both on X-rays and to the naked eye. Dentistry should be about saving teeth, not allowing them to deteriorate for future financial gain. This experience has completely eroded my trust in this office. If I could give negative stars, I would. In 2019, Dr. Ashton placed a crown on tooth #3. From the beginning, the crown created a significant food trap. At every six-month cleaning, I repeatedly complained about this issue. Each time, I was told everything "looked fine," despite my concerns and despite the fact that I previously worked in a dental office and knew something was wrong. At my most recent cleaning on December 29, 2025, I again reported the food trap. Nothing was done. However, the hygienist always seemed to find issues with my gums -- yet the crown itself was never addressed. 3 weeks after my cleaning the crown came off. I was informed that I now have a cavity under the crown. This office now wants to charge me $600-$1,000 for a replacement crown -- for a failure that should never have happened. This office watched a crown fail over several years, ignored repeated complaints, and now expects me to pay for their poor workmanship. This feels less like healthcare and more like a money funnel -- substandard work designed to fail so patients return for expensive treatments years later. I am extremely disappointed. I strongly encourage anyone who has experienced issues with this office to file a complaint with their dental insurance provider and the Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners.
