However, it was the administrative and operational experience that was beyond frustrating. I provided my credit card info for billing and had them come back not once or twice but 3 times to get the card number (which is a bit unnerving). Then, sadly, I was part of the forced removal of clients at Scripps due to the insurance issues with Anthem. After 4 months of PT, I was asked for another referral. Sadly, I was waiting for a new doctor at SDSU, so had to wait 9 weeks to get an appointment for the referral. Nothing changed from my original referral (I was referred for my neck and knee). No new issues and kept doing the exercises given in clinic to keep things moving. I finally got in to the doctor and got the referral, and sent it over as soon as I got it. I was then told I needed to do another assessment, which, imagine this, is not covered by insurance and comes out of pocket, costing a couple of hundred. I found this ridiculous as it was not even 3 months (all of which I could not get a referral sooner with providers that were covered) If it had been a year or more, I could understand, but the referral wasn't even active for a year, and it was a matter of a couple of months. Just seemed like an opportunity to make more money.

I have had excellent interactions with all of their staff and look forward to my visits. They are professional, caring, listen to my concerns and work with my schedule. I have tried other PT places and some I was so disappointed in i only went a few times before giving up. ProActive hasn't disappointed me. I highly recommend them.

Mostly DIY reception with iPads and a kiosk that is clearly an offsite answering service, therapists will be juggling 2-3 patients at a time with interns filling in the gaps, etc-- the whole operation reeks of massive cost cutting for profit. Going to look for better service providers elsewhere

Overall, I was disappointed that the root cause was never identified or addressed. Their billing system is also inconsistent. I asked them to switch to charging a new credit card after a few sessions, but they continued charging to the old card. They also neglected to collect the correct amount from my first visit and waited 6 months to send a corrected statement.

Quality Physical therapy and they also work on the injuries area with massage/scrapping. As someone who's had a myriad of sport injuries from MCL to shoulder impingement and have gone to 2 other PT spots in the area, ASIS is 100% the best and go to place.

Spine & Sport in Poway was the best PT experience I have ever had…read more I had a major back surgery which lasted 13 hours and affected 10 levels of my vertebrae with screws, rods and artificial discs. Adan Velasco and Christy McClain created a gradual program that got me back into shape in a comparatively short time for the type of surgery I had. Now I can see if I was massively late or have done this before that I couldn't be seen, but you have numerous physical therapist in that facility and you couldn't help me seems ridiculous. I was in traffic and driving trying to find their number to call saying I was gonna be late but I guess it wouldn't matter anyways. I have seen people come in there 10 late and got to see a physical therapist. For me that is the end of me coming to this place I recommend not going. Very disappointed.

I attended Scripps Ranch Physical Therapy for over a year before and after a hip replacement. During that entire time, I was never once asked to make a payment in the office nor did I receive any billing statements. I assumed my therapy was covered through insurance. Five months after my final appointment, I suddenly received two invoices marked "Final Notice." When I called to question these invoices, Terry stated that their records showed the bills had been mailed. I explained that these were the first invoices I had ever received and that it was unreasonable to send "Final Notice" bills without any prior communication--especially after more than a year of regular visits. Her response, after a long pause, was simply, "Are you going to pay?" I requested to speak with a manager and was told, "You are." When I asked to speak with the owner, I was told, "That is not going to happen." This level of rudeness and lack of accountability reflects extremely poor customer service. I feel sorry for the therapists who work here, as they do not deserve to be associated with such managers who treat their patience's with such disrespect. I can't imagine how the management treats their employees. I will not return to this practice and will not recommend it to anyone.

I've…read moremade more progress working with Dr. "D" Catron and all the professional, dedicated PT Techs (especially Annika, whom I've been working with the most) in the last year than the previous 6yrs of conservative pain management (i.e. incompetent pain docs, epidural steroid injections, pain meds, numerous feeble PT attempts with mediocre PTs at substandard PT clinics, etc.) combined. My care plan is not only 100% tailored to me, but Deanna also personalizes every session based on how I'm feeling both physically/mentally that day, integrating mental/physical well-being in her practice. She takes the time to listen/understand how my condition impacts my life, finds ways for me to integrate my home care routine more easily/efficiently into my lifestyle, explains how each exercise/stretch works, and creates new ones on the spot to help save me time by combining several into one. Deanna truly goes above/beyond by taking the time to help me better understand my condition anatomically, how it affects me physically, and took things a step further by helping me understand my MRI/x-ray impressions ordered by the pain docs but never explained to me in a way I could understand by them. Thanks to her and Annika's profound empathy/compassion, unremitting encouragement/devotion, inexhaustible patience/support, and exceptional teamwork; I have managed to get off opioids completely, drastically cut down on multiple other addictive meds, regain confidence in my self/my ability to get better, and learn what I can do to continue along this path to recovery without having to get surgery. I'm no longer stumbling around in the dark and can finally see light at the end of the tunnel. They have completely transformed my life for the better and I sincerely hope they are getting the recognition/compensation they deserve for their relentless hard-work/efforts.
