Asked the people serving the buffet line and their only response was "no knives". I asked why there were no knives and their response was "no knives". The evening turned out pretty good though because of who I was with. The band was good and their female singers were great. The other guests were very friendly and were having fun on the dance floor. Come on man, how difficult is it to have knives available at an event like this? We'll be looking for something else next year.

There is a parking lot right near so you don't have to walk far. It's connected to a restaurant/bar but completely separate. We had access to the main areas and the outside view and everything was beautifully decorated and the place was clean. It was pretty roomy for the size party there (about 150ish). Food was pretty good that was served by the venue. Especially those beignets. Yum. The views outside with the sunset was perfect as well. You also won't get a weak drink from the bartenders here. From how beautiful it was, to the uniqueness, to the location, to the service, everything was amazing. The Chicory is in the middle of New Orleans, and you can't beat that energy and level of fun. It's a historic building with a lot to do in the area, and plenty of hotel options nearby if you're coming from out of town. When we got into the venue, I was immediately blown away by the beautiful exposed brick and the overall look of everything. It was also a nice change from the typical hotel ballroom. The staff were so nice and so attentive! We had two bridal attendants with us the whole time. They were so friendly and helpful, and you can tell they really love their job. They went over the top to make sure the bride had everything she needed and didn't have to worry about a thing-down to checking her water bottle constantly to make sure she always had fresh water. During the reception, we left for a few minutes to take pictures on the rooftop at sunset, which turned out beautiful. Where else can you be married in a quiet courtyard just steps away from the noise and bustle of Bourbon Street? Does any other city have tons of historic buildings that date back to the 1800's where you can throw a party? The Petite Bourbon is just such a place. It is hidden, beautiful, and quite inexpensive to rent! They have a big courtyard (which is my favorite thing about the French Quarter) and a big main room upstairs that has a balcony facing Bourbon Street. Amy is kicks! She is the super cool manager of the place. Amy is very accommodating and helpful. I have worked special events all over the city from the biggest places imaginable (Superdome and convention center) to the most intimate settings (house parties) and the Petite Bourbon is near the top of my list for a venue place. You get to experience all that the French Quarter offers plus you get a beautiful reception area just steps away from it all. I highly recommend this place!

And for us, the bride and groom, all of our needs were met, and were most often anticipated and looked after. The food, catered by Pigeon Caterers, was outstanding. There was nothing left to guessing. She carefully planned out seat assignments, food arrangements, signature cocktails, photo station, music and dance floor. The photographer also understood the assignment, he danced and hyped the crowd up for creative, but natural pictures. KSoiree Kreations also took care of transportation, black sprinters picked us up at our hotel and delivered us to this beautiful space. The party was thoughtful for all the guest. No one left without a smile on their face.
