Was surprised that Launch Pad didn't have a Yelp listing, and found it necessary to add one because…read moreI keep trying to check in there... Launch Pad is hard to categorize, because it's much more than an event venue--it's a coworking space, the headquarters of a growing collection of startups, and a community of entrepreneurs working to make New Orleans a better place. If you're a freelance consultant, small business owner, or someone who works from home, Launch Pad is an excellent option for a more professional workspace; you can have meetings with clients in an actual conference room, rather than at a coffee shop or in your living room. (It does make a difference, by the way. My business has grown significantly since I became a member of Launch Pad, thanks to referrals from other LP members and also to the professional work environment and resources available via LP's network of entrepreneurs.) Membership rates are reasonable, and more than worth the investment if you're looking for an opportunity to help your business grow. You don't have to sign a 5-year commercial lease, because memberships are month-to-month. Come check it out for a day, for free, and see what you think.

Really thankful for the person who added their Yelp review because I may not have found them. Spent two days working here while in from NY this week. Folks were nice. Space was pleasant and exactly what you needed- awesome Mojo coffee, open space and tables, different seating options and a phone booths too. Respectful Co-working folks in the space. Visiting town the fact that Mother's Restaurant is right across the street is epic - for breakfast, lunch or dinner that is fast and delicious. Also really easily walkable to all warehouse and CBD hotels. Not too far off the quarter either. Will definitely be back if I need to work in town again. Thanks cool peeps!

Scale New Orleans - Outdoor Terrace

SCALE New Orleans is my favorite place to get work done and socialize with great people. Yes! You…read morecan do both! I recently returned to the great city of New Orleans and quickly realized that my very humble abode was not going to be very conducive to getting work done. So the search for a co-working space began. After almost 4 years of working remotely, I wasn't sure I would like returning to an office environment, but SCALE has been great. Perks of working from SCALE: * Members get 24/7 access and it's very secure! * Some of the desks have monitors! No more hunching at your laptop. * Telephone booths and conference rooms when you need a bit more privacy. * Well climatized - perfect for the summer heat or sweater weather. * The space is filled with plants; windows; local art; free espresso and coffee; and just the right amount of white noise. There's even a rooftop terrace just outside the kitchen. * The other members are friendly! They will talk to you if you want and respect you if you have jump on a call or get work done. * They will take deliveries for you. No more worrying about porch pirates. * Lyle, the owner, is often on-site and really cares about us. (awwwww) * There's even a shower! (But if you need a hairdryer, be sure to bring your own). Other things I've noticed - people are very friendly and welcoming. This is a place where you can come as you are. The diversity in the people make SCALE reflect some of their FLOR rug designs - they don't necessarily all coordinate, but somehow it works and looks good (see pic). Your network can really expand here as there are so many people with different work and life backgrounds. I did visit other coworking spaces, but the atmosphere was not as welcoming and felt a bit sterile. Couple that with too much hard concrete surfaces and I knew there would be an issue with noise. Come visit SCALE for a tour & check it out yourself! If you see me, introduce yourself and let me know you read my review! See you soon!

My oh my!!!! Where…read moreshall I begin. This place & Lyle are a godsend. As if being a NEW entrepreneur + FIRST time inventor, wasn't enough. Throw in manufacturing why dontcha? Well ok so there's the quandary... how + where do I make these things? Well here is Lyle + Scale Workspace to render me aid. This place is a hidden gem in "THE NOLA BABY", I mean just think of it... if you can put on your thinking cap, then you can come here, construct a mold & create it. That's how it happened for me. Picture it: -God gave me an idea -Lyle + his team brought it to manifestation. Just that simple. Once you know the direction (to creating a thing), you can head here. Lyle + his team are simply the best, better than all the rest... y'all know the Tina Tuner song, don't try to fool me now. At any rate, taking a tour is ESSENTIAL!!! As it adds sheer excitement to the endless possibilities of the things you can create here. There's an area to co-work and use computers. There's an area to make & receive private phone calls. There's an area to get your eat on, fashioned with all of the niftiest gadgets & appliances. There's a place to shower, should the need arise; say if you ride a bike in or if you even if you need a quick pick me up. There's an area to make, create & bring your vision to life. There's a rooftop area that is quaint & perfect to take a little siesta. There's an area to get your Shutterfly on; taking photos is essential to share any work of art. And the great thing about all these areas and many more, is that they come with MEMBERSHIP. Man oh man, talk about "membership having its privileges..." I love it. Oh and did I tell you have access whenever you want, I mean I don't know if overnight is an option, but if it is, you have the ability to gain access with the touch of your finger. Yep!!! No keys needed... your very own biometrics will give you access to the tools & skills lab you need to create. I've been advised of the parking beneath the bridge or you can park alongside the street and use the parking meters, FYI. I plan to utilize the amenities here to create and create and create some more. BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR MORE NEW PRODUCTS FROM ME, YOUR FRIENDLY YELP-ELITE INVENTOR!!!

I'm kind of obsessed with this office building and thought I'd share it with my fellow yelpers…read more This is seriously the wackiest office building I've ever been in. See all my photos to witness it's retro charms. My first visit I took the stairs up to the 4th floor...y'know being all healthy and stuff. But I'll never try that again. I fell twice. Why? because the treads are not standard rises, so just when you think you've got the height down it changes. AND when you get up to 4 there's what looks like the cover to a pickup truck bed blocking access to the roof. Also, I love the terrazzo floors! So to review, I did a little digging...while there is an Anytime Fitness in the retail space on the first floor, the pre-K home of Barto Appliances btw, at one point it was a florist which says established in the 1930s. Evidently Mrs. Bottinelli opened her florist shop in the middle of the cities of the dead to get the last minute funeral/grave business. I thought the building was on the corner of North Anthony but on this side of Canal it's actually called Bottinelli Place and what a strange assortment of businesses are located here: 1 double shotgun (early 20th century vintage), a building that has turned turrets that looks like a church, and an assortment of other buildings that could be anything from more offices, to residences, to I don't know what. Seriously take a drive by and see what I'm talking about.

Check out the history of this building and Bottinelli Place here:…read more https://www.theadvocate.com/gambit/new_orleans/news/blake_pontchartrain/article_4e0fcd11-d593-5eb8-aca7-325145a7b7cb.html

There are also 2 large phone booths for rent as well. Free workspace is every other Tuesday - date rate is $20. The renovation is great and I love the kitchen area - includes hot beverages, filtered water and snacks - yes snacks are provided, such a nice touch. Great place to meet other entrepreneurs and community network. I will definitely be back again soon.

DO NOT HAVE YOUR EVENT HERE! I'm not even sure where to begin...i have been here to this event hall…read moretwice before for different events. At those times, visually inside and out the place was nice. I had spent weeks looking for the right space to host my baby shower and i remembered this place. I scheduled a walk through and when i got there the outside looked terrible. I still went in and spoke with the young lady who i had an appointment with. The inside was very nice but i asked her about the grass and will it be taken care of cause i thought surely they don't keep it like this on a regular basis and she informed me that the have a contract with a company who maintains the grass. With that information i assumed that for their events that they host they would most likely have it taken care of. So i reserved my date with the lady who is the one in charge of the actual event booking, Elizabeth. After my booking as time went on i had questions about the space and it was so incredibly hard to get in contact with her. And because i couldn't get in contact i had to postpone my other arrangements until i could get in contact with her. On multiple occasions i couldn't get in contact with her to the point where i attempted to reach out to the owner of the building with no success from that either. This made planning MY OWN BABY SHOWER TEN TIMES MORE STRESSFUL. From the time leading up to my event, my family had passed the building multiple occasions because of where they work and the grass stayed continuously worsened , growing higher and higher. It was a terrible sight. The week of my event, i reached out to the event manager asking if the grass could please take care of because it appeared it was never touched since three months ago when i first toured and the days are counting down. She informed me and my father that they have a contract with a company and that unfortunately she could not do anything about the grass that she referred to as "trees" in front of the building. My family and i were so desperate because of how bad it looked we asked if we could do it ourselves!! She told us no. I then asked if i could be compensated cause the whole experience with her and the business had been so disappointing and she told me that the outside of the venue being taken care of and maintained was not in my contract so therefore no i will not be compensated and the grass will still not be able to be touched . She then told me that the grass had been taken care about a week ago and because of the weather it had something to do with why the grass looked the way it looked and from the images i will input you will CLEARLY SEE that wasn't true. In the end i made the best of what i had but please expect LESS than the bare minimum from this place. Terrible service. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!
