First time parking in this garage because of the event that was going on at that restaurant. I drove in really easy getting my ticket and parking. Unfortunately when I left the restaurant at 8:30 at night, the garage doors were closed and the door to the level where my car was parked which was on the street level was locked. I had to ask a passer buyer what to do and if I could even get my car out. She's like yeah you can go up one level just walk up the stairs. Unfortunately the door to get into the garage stairwell was super hard to open. I had to go up a set of stairs walk over to the elevator go down an elevator Just get back to my car. Then I had to drive around and find the exit because three of the exits were closed. Definitely not the easiest city garage to use. Hopefully they do some improvements Not only the doors to make them easier to open but also to work with the local restaurants for validated parking to minimize the cost to the patrons they come to spend your money at an awesome restaurant. Just a suggestion.

I love parking in this garage because of many reasons. They have an enterance/exit for month parkers onto 3 of the 4 streets it touches. I use different exists depending on which highway I am getting on, but both 84 and 91 and very conviently to the garage. The stairs and elevator also go all the way up to the Plaza level which is awesome for walking to work. I usually take the step up to the Plaza so I can walk over the roads and not have to worrry about the traffic or anything like that. However when it rains the South Garage is great because I can walk through it and avoid the rain. Although I can't get into the North Garage on weekends, its only $5 bucks to park in South on weekends.

We walked out of the wedding having a nice night and to our surprise, our car was missing! We called the Police Department and found out our car had been towed by CT Auto & Towing LLC. We were told it had been towed because we parked in a handicap accessible spot. If you look at the photo I posted, we were not parked in the spot that clearly has an above ground sign. We were parked in the end corner spot which DOES NOT have the above ground sign as required by Connecticut General Statutes, Sec. 14-253a(h) - (https://www.enfield-ct.gov/DocumentCenter/View/277/Handicapped-Parking-PDF?bidId=). Apparently there was a handicap print on the pavement, but it is barely visible because it is so worn and the lighting in the parking lot is not great. I specifically picked this spot because it was the only area of the parking light with good light, which is important in such a dangerous city as Hartford, and yet I still didn't see the print on the pavement!!! Why would a parking lot have one spot with an above ground sign and another without this?! Is it because they are in cahoots with the local towing companies??? Seems like it to me! My second photo shows blue dots that represent cars towed in the last 30 days. 930 cars times $180=$167,400 in one month.   What a shame for Hartford and the G Fox building. No wonder why no one wants to go downtown anymore....

There are a couple different bus companies you can choose to use to get to Boston, NY,…read morePhiladelphia, UCONN, etc. they have Peter Pan bus line, FlixBus, and The Greyhound. They also have the Amtrak trains in this same station. Although I feel safe, the area is definitely sketchy. There are ticket counters for this who hasn't bought their tickets beforehand. And there is also a small eatery that has coffee and breakfast sandwiches to purchase.

We can't thank him enough we'd probably still be there if it wasn't for him!
