I was later to find the tank was never inspected - in fact, the tank covers were under 6 inches of asphalt driveway. After digging up the tank, I learned it was not traffic rated for a driveway. All issues that could be identified if Thomas Pumping just did an honest report. Seems I'm not the only one with a complaint. Check the Ventura County Courts for actions before you make a choice. The first company that came out charged me $99 for an inspection and estimate and claimed that I needed to replace all my vents (switching from single-wall to double-wall). Pablo, however, explained that this was unnecessary -- he could redo sections and install a new cap on the roof for about a quarter of the other company's estimate. During my research, I also considered installing a tankless water heater to avoid dealing with vents altogether and obtained estimates for that option. Pablo offered to install a high-quality tankless at a reasonable price, while other companies suggested lower-quality units at equal or higher prices.
