The quality of the pizza at Peppe's is simply better than you can find at most takeaways and is more comparable to what you would find in city centre Pizzerias. They taste fresher, less greasy and more satisfying. If you are in the Whitefield area and it is one of those nights where you are craving a pizza, then make Peppe's your first choice. In addition to the option of takeaway you can also eat in at Peppe's (although I have not tried this yet). If this is your preference I would advise booking as it is only a small place. What I would also suggest is trying the ribs, they are messy but definitely worth it.

Pronto specialises in pizzas, we always used to share the big ones, and kebabs. My favourite memory is of a bunch of guys hanging out with us girls - some period during high school. A guy and a girl who shall remain nameless ended up kissing outside this strip of shops and as we were waiting for someone to get some Pronto food, the guys left. What followed- giggles and screeches from the girls after it came out that of all things, he had DORITO BREATH. Have used both and had no problems. Delivery is usually 30 - 40 minutes and sometimes quicker. They do chicken, lamb and donner kebabs. The mega mixed kebab is fab! (that's all 3 together) They do a wide range of pizzas and are happy to make them to any combination that you want. The shop always looks clean and tidy and the staff are friendly!

It's also nice to see local options - we had a guest beer from Congleton. To top it all out the staff are friendly, polite but professional with it. You're never rushed, you're never ignored and they're there when you need them. They only take bookings for tables of 6 or more, anything less than that and you may have to queue but it's definitely worth the wait. They also have some great midweek and early bird deals. Since it's less than 5 minutes' walk from Prestwich Metrolink, it's definitely worth a visit.

My sister and I have learnt to ask for the sweet chilli jam on the side as less is definitely more. Croma is good for get togethers with friends on a budget, not necessarily for big occassions. The staff are Italian as is the chef and the owner Enzo.. How much more authentic can you get? The menu is great, the home made pizza are always spot on. There's always a specials board which changes all the time but there are some favourites that you see white often up there such as lamb rosmarind and calamari so if you see these up there - grab them whilst you can! Excellent value for money, the service is always fantastic and we usually have wine that's not even on the menu based on their recommendations which has never been wrong! Top marks.

When we arrived on the night they inexplicably told us they had no record of the booking but said they would 'fit us in' somewhere. We then waited 50 minutes for someone to finally come & take our order & this was only after we had asked twice to be served. The children by now were very hungry, bored & frustrated so we asked if the children's food could be brought out at the same time as the adult's starters. They agreed but then only brought the adult's starters. The children then had to wait another 55 minutes for their food, by which time they were understandably close to tears. When the food eventually arrived it was very poor - we had asked if the pizzas that we all ordered could be 'well done' but when they were eventually brought out they were they most under-cooked, sloppy & soggy pizzas any of us had ever tasted. The pasta dishes were no better. The drinks were extremely over-priced as was the unacceptably substandard food & they ruined what should have been a special birthday meal & left 3 young children very upset. We will never visit La Capannina restaurant ever again & would definitely not recommend it to anybody. Terrible service, terrible food, terrible restaurant. Avoid at all costs!
