What I got instead was one of the most disappointing and stressful vehicle purchases I've ever experienced. Before I even left the dealership, the truck failed to start. I stood there in the lot, confused and concerned, and the sales guy just told me, "Take the key out and try again." It finally started -- but that moment should have been a huge red flag. I wish I had listened to my gut. I began the long drive back to Arizona, and things only got worse. The steering column started shaking and popping, the truck hesitated to start multiple times, and the shocks felt worn out, with one visibly leaking. This was a Ford Blue Certified truck -- supposedly inspected, supposedly reliable, supposedly meeting Ford's standards. But it was clear something wasn't right. When I got home, I took the truck to Jones Ford Casa Grande. Their certified technicians found multiple pre‑existing failures: The lower steering shaft was failing One of the batteries had failed All four shocks were worn out, and one was leaking These weren't minor issues. These weren't things that suddenly appeared in the 1,700 miles between Houston and Arizona. These were serious mechanical problems that existed before I ever bought the truck -- yet Doggett Ford marked every one of those items as "Passed" on the Ford Blue Certified inspection checklist they handed me. When I reached out to Doggett Ford North Houston, hoping they would stand behind their certification and do the right thing, they refused to help. No reimbursement. No repair authorization. No accountability. Just excuses. I trusted this dealership. I trusted the Ford Blue Advantage certification they sold me. I trusted the paperwork they gave me. And I trusted the Ford brand. Instead, I ended up with a truck that was misrepresented, unsafe, and in need of repairs that should have been done long before it was ever sold as certified.
