They called a day before to remind me of the test. On a Saturday, at 7 in the morning, there was plenty of parking. It was easy to find the center. The check in process was fast and efficient. The staff was courteous and accommodating as I had arrived early, but they still tried to let me in as soon as possible. There were numerous test takers so early in the morning, but when I was exiting at around 9:00, there were only a couple in the waiting room. My device was fully functional and clean. Just a follow up that I also called the GRE company (ETS) after testing to let them know what happened, that I reported the tech issues to the proctor after the test, and emailed them about it. They said that they could not find any report of the proctor reporting it to them, which prometric said is untrue when I called them. Since no one informed me that "report any issues to the proctor" is only for during the test to them or that I had the option not to submit scores. ETS made the decision not to allow me a free retest, so I had to pay for another test, which I chose to do from home. So to reiterate - DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY FOR TESTING! read more

Taking tests is always stressful so it's nice to go to a testing place where people are nice. I needed to take the SAFE MLO test and this location was the closest one to me. I'm glad I picked it. Before the test, I called a few times with questions, and every time they answered they were always helpful and pleasant. The even called me the day before the test to confirm and to say I could come in earlier if I want because they had some openings. Making an appointment for the test was easy and I had no trouble finding a convenient time and day to take the test. When you enter the parking lot off of Slauson, take a hard left and you'll be in front of the building. I went straight and endued up in the back of the building. No worries. It wasn't that hard to find. There's a ton of free parking. People are taking all kinds of tests there. They do a great job of letting you know what to expect before you even get there through emails and their website. They'll have you put all your stuff in a locker while you're taking the test. The only thing you can have on your person is your glasses, and they'll take a look to make sure they aren't camera-equipped! The staff does a terrific job of keeping the place clean and sanitized. They go the extra mile to ensure everyone's safety from COVID and other stuff, too. The testing environment is pretty good. Everyone has a cubicle. I don't think people are six feet apart, but they are in a cubicle, so I think that's OK. The keyboards are pretty noisy and the calculator they gave me was sticky, hard to read, and kept adding erroneous numbers due to its condition. If you have a lot of calculations to do, I hope you get a better calculator than I did, or you are good at using the calculator on the computer. They do offer over the ear headphones to reduce noise reduction but they weren't comfortable over my reading glasses. All in all, I'm glad I went to this location with friendly staff, easy parking, and a super clean environment. By the way, I passed my exam!! read more

I had signed up to take a standardized exam yesterday morning and unfortunately my only option was to drive over to the Culver City location as opposed to Glendale. Getting on that 405 freeway is almost as though you're verbally signing a waiver that anything can happen anytime! After an hour and 15-minute commute, I made it early to my appointment and pulled up to the parking lot. I've been here once before for another exam last year and it's relatively in a quiet area in Culver City. Parking is plentiful and right in front of the testing center on ground level. The center itself is okay. Pretty outdated in terms of its presentation. The women at the front desks are very helpful and efficient with checking in everyone. There are almost 60 lockers available for all students to place their belongings in there during tests. The area also has a courtyard with benches and tables for people to relax, take a breather, review for exams, and it happens to be a small walk away from their cafe. The cafe has some junk food and drinks readily available but I saw a menu behind the counter that listed some other food options. I've tested here a few times and I really like this location. Everyone that I've encountered has been nice, explains all the instructions well, and my tests have gone smoothly without an issue. I like testing on Saturday's because the building is pretty quiet. But on weekdays, it can get a little noisy because there are multiple different businesses in the building. I had one experience of someone playing music pretty loud, and the headphone provided didn't block the sounds so I used my hands to cover my ears while the music played. But other then that , I haven't had a bad experience at all. read more

Zero stars if it wasn't for the one helpful person who we met later on: My brother came in to take the OAT. The first person he talked to misheard his registration as OET and asked for his passport, which he didn't have because it's not required for the OAT. Without asking for his name nor clarifying which test he was taking, she told him that if he didn't have his passport today, he would have to pay for the exam registration again and come back another time, which caused him a huge amount of anxiety. She gave him a phone number for the OET, and he was forced to waste 20+ minutes talking back and forth with an organization that had nothing to do with his exam. After he finally found out with the OET phone line that he was given the wrong number, I went in with him to try to register again. I asked some staff members if he would have more time to make up for starting the exam late, and we were told no (eventually - much later - this was retracted and they said yes), which made him panic even more. We were then met with an incredibly negative and insulting attitude from the person at the front desk (a different person from the first one who misinformed him). She felt the need to inform him that she's worked here for 20 years and knows EXACTLY which exam he's taking. What is the point of talking to a 19 year old college kid that way??? We were finally eventually helped by someone who was kind and reassuring, but it doesn't change the fact that his performance on this incredibly important exam will be affected by the 1. unqualified/inattentive and 2. rude/unprofessional staff members who caused the confusion and panic for him. He started his exam nearly an hour late and in emotional distress because of the incompetence and condescension of the 2 aforementioned staff members. He was able to calm down and take his exam, no thanks to these 2 people. Especially for those who might have anxiety, I would NEVER recommend coming here for important exams that could affect your life. read more

I recently took the PDD (ARE 5.0) exam and had no issues with lag between questions. This exam had a lot of graphics which typically takes longer to load but it was maybe a 2-3 second delay (like the ncarb practice exam). Not sure if the center upgraded their internet speed or something but it was a great experience and was actually able to go back and review marked questions without the frustration. Best tip is to arrive early, especially if you are the 8:00 am test taking session, because the line starts to form out the door. This location is also super strict on checking that your valid ID name matches your test taking name because they will reject you immediately. Had to spend 30min-1 hour on the phone + waiting to ensure that I could take my exam and even then I didn't get seated until past 8:30 am. I was the last one admitted into the testing because the staff (site manager) was crazy about making sure I had all the approvals, and basically ruined my "test taking mode" for the entire morning. Good thing I had one thing going for me - I still passed my exam!! I don't plan on coming back to this test taking center to take my future exams anymore because the staff are such sticklers and really ruined my mood in the morning. If I didn't pass my test, I would have been so upset at them because my nerves were on high alert (nervous/anxiety) and they created way too much drama in the morning. There was a combination of being lectured at and told that I cannot take the test repeatedly until I get the right approvals from "corporate". I'LL PASS ON THIS TESTING CENTER, PLEASE! NO THANKS!! Not the best place to take an exam. But not the worst place. Took the GRE here on a Saturday and am relieved it's over. Not sure how this center compares to others but I have to say it's not bad. While I'm not the biggest fan (but who is a fan of a test center), I'll admit that the space here is pretty good. You get your own cubicle in an austere and chilled room. The staff also provides a locker, pencils, and scratch paper. They also have a water dispenser and sell chocolate at the front for $1 to placate any test anxiety that may arise. One major perk is that they have a huge parking lot that's super empty on Saturdays so getting in and out should be a breeze. The only annoying thing is that the bathrooms are located outside of the building and you'll need a key for it. In a real world setting, it's no biggie but when you're in exam mode, it can be a nuisance. My feelings about the staff are neutral for the most part. They're pretty prompt when it comes to checking you in and are stickler to the standard testing rules. Expect to be ask to lock everything in your locker, have your ID ready, empty your pockets, and sign in and out of your break. Side note: For anyone who's looking into taking the GRE, I highly recommend using Magoosh. They have an online dashboard that's affordable and it's great source to use during your own time. They're flashcard apps does wonders to your vocabulary. I studied with Magoosh for about 2 months and saw my score jump up tremendously. read more

[For CPA testing] Between the Glendale testing center and Culver City, I like the Culver City Prometric center better. I usually took my exams at the Glendale center because it's closer, but I ended up having to take my test here a few times because there were no openings at Glendale. Tracy and Lydia we're always helping me and they were super friendly :) Parking: *Culver City (winner) - center there's ample free parking *Glendale - you either have to find street, metered, or park in the structure. I wouldn't recommend street or metered because it's a 4 hour test and the center is located in a business area (worrying about parking is the last thing you want to stress about). I always got dropped off when at Glendale so I don't know what the parking rates are but I read someone's review on Yelp and they said on average of $14-$18. Cafe: - Culver City (winner): on the way to the bathroom there's a little cafe that sells snacks, drinks, and food. It's a good pick me up for if you decide to take a break. - Glendale: I never saw a cafe in the building or anywhere to buy snacks, drinks, etc. If you take your test during lunch time you'll see some food trucks by the building. Bathrooms: - Culver City (winner): The bathrooms are nicer here and they're in a separate building which forces you to walk and stretch your legs! Nice for when/if you take your 15 min break. - Glendale: bathrooms are super close, so yes it saves you some time if you are taking a break that counts against your allotted time. Notes: - Both centers give you reminder calls 1 or 2 days before - Don't forget your NTS otherwise you can't take your test - both have noise reduction headphones and you can ask for ear plugs - at the Culver City location I was asked if I wanted a calculator (so be sure to ask if you prefer calculating your answers this way) Hope I don't have to come back! I took the GRE here today and I must say that over all it was a painless experience. It was the end to months of studying. I received my scores instantaneously. The staff was very pleasant. And to top it all off I finished well under the four hours and greatly enjoyed the rest of my day off. Thanks to the staff for making the process as pleasant as possible. I highly recommend taking your test at Prometric! Signing up with them for the PHR exam certification was a breeze. As soon as I signed up, I received a confirmation email with important details such as cancellation, identification, and their security policy. I also received another email confirmation as I got closer to the test date. On top of that, I also received another helpful reminder as one of their representatives gave me a call 2 days before the test. Finding their facility was easy and the lady who signed me up was helpful. I recommend wearing a light jacket or sweater while taking your exam because it's freezing in the testing center! It is the night before my exam. I just received a message that my appointment for noon tomorrow is canceled. It is after business hours so I can't even speak to someone to get the date I've been reassigned. I studied hard and I expected to take my exam tomorrow, I do not appreciate a surprise change less than 24 hours before my exam. If I did that to them, I'd lose the $210 that I have to pay for this exam. It is unbelievable that they feel it is ok to do this. UPDATE: There was a flood at the facility. This I can understand and the woman I spoke to on the phone had great customer service skills and was really apologetic. I moved my review score up just because of her. My complaint lies with Prometric in general who could not reschedule me to a date that would be in any way convenient. I have to wait for 20 days to take my exam having already prepared for it and I've already booked another exam and have to take this one the day before that. It's awful timing, but they are totally booked even at other locations up to an hour away. Prometric in Glendale crashed in the middle of my exam and I had to retake it, now this. I wish they had some competition... read more

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. I've taken my GREs twice here and I've had a pleasant experience both times. The staff here is really nice and makes this stressful test a little more bearable. Some tips: 1. Wear a long sleeve or a light sweater. You don't want to be freezing but don't want to be sweating either. I wore a sheer long sleeve with a light sweater and it was perfect. 2. Wear your glasses, not contact lenses. The last thing you want is for your contacts will dry up and your eyes to get irritated during your test. 3. Use the restroom before your take your test. It's a short 30 second walk from the center, but you don't want to waste any time during your test if you need to go. 4. Leave your cellphone in your car before hand. They don't allow any cellphones on site and will send you back to your car if you bring your cellphone into the center. 5. The earlier you come, the earlier you can take your test. Even though your appointment is at 10 o clock, there really is no start and end time for any test. The testing center can start the program on the computer at any time. This includes your breaks too. You don't have to be back in exactly 10 minutes. The test won't start until you get back. 6. Bring your passport and driver's license. They took my passport both times, but just incase you run into any problems, you'll want to bring an alternate form of ID. 7. Don't bring a pen, pencil or scratch paper. You must use the test center's supplies; its mandatory. You do get a locker where you can leave a small bag. You can bring a list of your graduate school codes and retrieve it after you're done with the exam to enter into the computer. 8. Bring a snack to eat. It's a long test and you WILL get hungry. I took the GRE about 6 months ago at this center.The staff were full of attitude, but i didn't care, because I was focused on my exam. I arrived 20 mins early. I present the lady at the front desk with my driver's license and school ID, but she said, they need TWO GOVERNMENT ISSUED IDs (that is THREE IDs in total) because I was stupid enough to say that I am a resident, not a citizen. I told her that this ID (my driver's license) is issued by the State of California and has my picture on it along with all information and my signature, and I don't understand what difference presenting two (in this case THREE) IDs make, but she wouldn't accept this. I explained that this wasn't written anywhere in the instructions and she pulls out a paper and tells me it is. I certainly hadn't seen that paper on the ETS website before! Long story short, i didn't want to get into an argument right before my test. She offers to give me 30 mins so I can drive home and get my Green Card and come back. Mind you, it is a 30 minute drive to my house EACH WAY. I had to drive like a maniac, in sweat and aggravation, beat traffic and red lights to get to my house and back. By the time I was back, I was completely shaken and out of focus for the test. My heart was pounding like a drum and so traumatized by the experience that I had completely lost my focus. As a result I did terribly on the Analytic Writing Section that is the first section of the test. I took the allotted ten minute break in between and needed permission to get back to my test, but the lady at the front was helping someone that couldn't open his locker and by the time I was allowed back, I had lost 4 minutes of the test (out of 20 mins)!! I later filed a complaint with ETS at no avail. They wouldn't allow me to take the test for 60 days. Obviously my poor GRE record resulted in not getting accepted to the school of my choice and a year lost. If ETS is monopolizing the higher education entry requirement, it must show more responsibility than just collecting fees and coming up with test questions. Is there a 3rd party where you can file complaints, other than ETS? read more

I'M FREEEEEE After 5 hours of testing, I feel like a new potato :-) Place looks pretty creepy at the crack of dawn but it is well kept on the inside. Staff is friendly and tried to get everything done in a timely manner. The bathrooms are quite far, literally at the back of the test center. During my test, my whole table was constantly moving for about 30 min on and off. I complained during the exam and was only told to use headphone which I was already using!!! The bathroom location is far and not easy to find and often very dirty. Unless the is the only option, you should avoid using this test center. Had an overall good experience here when I came to take my California Surveying Exam! Free parking inside the complex and free lockers to store my bags, spy cameras, and illegal weapons that I couldn't take into the exam room. Bathroom keys are attached to wooden batons in case you need to defend yourself against opposing test takers. Testing cubicle is roomy and left plenty of space for my books and pillow. The only problem I had is when my proctor forgot to give me a pencil so I bolted to the door of our glass cage while whispering an expletive under my breath and banged on the door till she fetched me my writing utensil. All that aside, I could sympathize with anyone who's had a bad experience here .. while friendly on the outside I could see the staff turning into ravenous wolves if something goes wrong. I took my GREs here. They went well. Unfortunately, I have since unmade-up my mind about where in the heck my life is going, so I have no fancy graduate degree to show for my afternoon spent at the ingeniously-named Prometric Testing Center. The complex is confusing. Make sure you leave time to wander aimlessly looking for the appropriate suite number. You also have to get a key for the bathroom, and then trek back through the confusing courtyard, only to find that, if the key is meant to keep the bathroom in non-disgusting shape, it does not serve its purpose. In case you are curious about what you do with your stuff that you are not allowed to take into the testing room, you get a small locker in the testing center lobby. You also get those foam earplugs, if you like. I find them unpleasant when stuffed in my ears, but nevertheless enjoy squishing them in between my fingers. Anyway, best of luck to you. read more

Pretty well run testing center, trust me I've been to THE WORST of them! (*ahem* Gardena Prometric, the biggest craphole everrrrrrrr) If you are reading this or planning to go here, you're obviously embarking on the start of some (positive) life-altering adventure. Don't be nervous though! The staff is pretty friendly here. Of course they have some pretty draconian rules on everything, such as emptying all of your pockets, what jacket you can bring in etc., but that's par for the course. You'll probably encounter a bunch of people with tests in progress in the cubicles, as tests are timed from when you sit down and start. Many different types of tests are administered too, so you'll definitely see a wide range of people-types. I came here for my GRE, and found the place to be clean and organized. I thought I totally bombed the exam by the time I was done, but to my amazement it turned out to be quite the opposite. JOY!!!!!!!!!!!!! When you're done, head over to nearby downtown Culver City for a beer and a feast to celebrate your conquest!!!!!!!! Moral of the story...study beforehand and do endless drills so everything is second nature. It's not like any test you take here (no matter which one it is) will be stuff you've never seen before. Oh yeah, and make sure to go to the bathroom before you start, otherwise you'll need to pee 2 minutes into the test and be miserable for hours!! read more

I thank the testing gods for this test center. I came here to take my DAT and the employees were all super helpful and genuinely nice. I called in multiple times to ask a lot of questions and they were helpful and polite each time. Yes, the bathroom is about a twenty second walk outside of the testing center and you do need to use a key but it's not that big of an issue. There is plenty of parking and a free parking lot so that is one less thing to worry about during test day. The testing center itself is clean, they provide multiple types of soundproof headgear and you can bring you own squishy ear plugs. The computer screens are nice and if you get a funky screen feel free to speak up and they'll generously move you to another computer. Honestly, I can't compare it to other test centers, but after reading reviews of other places and horrific experiences, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in need of a testing center. read more

The place was really ok, don't be afraid of 2 point reviews, the people haven't really read the ID requirements and now blame the testing center for that. First of all, three points for easy access, easy parking and parking for free - you are not losing any time. It can be a bit confusing to find the right suite, but when you turn into the parking lot from Buckingham Pkwy, keep to your right in the parking lot and have your eye out on people moving in and out - these are most likely people who are going to take the test as well. The next point is for functionality. It's no hassle as long as you have your ID with you (if you are testing outside your own country, you gotta have your passport or green card). You have to go back and forth between different desks, but it does not take too long and they tell you what to do. Also, you can expect them to overcoordinate every single move you do, but this has to do with them sticking to the test procedures. The missing point is for three things: 1) testing room is loud and you have to focus on your concentration because everybody around you keeps speaking and it's distracting 2) outside toilet - it's really a bit inconvenient 3) you are not allowed to regulate your temperature with clothes, if you have your jacket on, you have to keep it on, and if you have it off, you cannot put it on during the test. I did not put it on and I was freezing for the next 4 hours. read more

The best place to take the MCAT. The people who work here are sooo nice and sweet, especially in an environment where everybody is stressing out. After my test, I really appreciated how nice and helpful they all were during the check-in, breaks, check-out, etc. You're coming here for a very important test and the last thing you want is to worry about your environment or test proctors. It's located in a nice and quiet business plaza on Slauson with basically no street noise. There are lockers where you can put your stuff. You can bring jackets into the testing room but it has to be on you at all times. The computer monitors were new LCD screens that did NOT flicker. They give you scrap paper, pencils, and ear plugs (you can bring your own soft earplugs if you want). There are also the big old headphones at the cubicles. The cubicles are nice and spacious. There's a camera overhead but I didn't notice it at all during my test (focus!) Everybody starts at a different time! Get there early and you can start your test early. Also, you'll avoid the crowd and the unnecessary stress if you get there early. read more

I took my CPA exams here in August and have just a couple helpful hints about taking your tests here: 1) Wear glasses. I wore my contacts and after staring at those old CRT computer screens for 4 hours, they were totally dried out. I spent most of my time blinking so I could actually see the question itself. 2) Arrive early. It's actually in a pretty nice complex and parking is a breeze. If you get there early though you get the perk of studying in their little shady tree area in the center, which always seemed to help cool my nerves before the big test. 3) You can bring a jacket but more likely than not, unless you're super sensitive to temperature, you won't need it. The temperature there was absolutely perfect - not too hot but not too cold. I think they got it down to a science. 4) None of these hints matter if you don't know what you're doing to begin with. I was too superstitious about posting here until I was done with all my exams... but I passed (!!!) so here we go... I've been to this location twice and the Glendale location twice for my CPA exams. I've decided I like this location more mainly due to the parking issue... 1. It's free!! Glendale charges you for parking and who wants to pay for parking when you're about to take a possibly life-changing exam? Totally sucks especially because if you're like me, you are already paying $$ to sit for the exam in the first place. 2. Parking is outside in a huge lot so if you get to the testing center early, you can sit in your car and study thanks to the beautiful sunlight. The Glendale location is in a dark parking garage, which definitely isn't conducive for some last minute review. People complain about the workers there but honestly, if you're nice to them.. they will be nice back! Also heads up, if you bring a sweater into the exam room, you have to wear it. I took mine off during my first test and one of the proctors told me I had to put it back on or go put it in my locker. read more

And look: If I'm taking a very stressful exam with a four hour time limit that has a low percentage of success, maybe don't interrupt my exam to scold me for sighing. I've taken 2 exams here and had a good experience each time, 5 and 9 hour exams respectively. Really the only issue with this location is not the center itself but the distance and the time required to drive here. Besides that setback, it's a great test center. The staff is friendly and efficient, not exacerbating the internal tension that I felt. There is ample parking in the front and the lockers are large and in close proximity to the test rooms. Folks have complained about the bathroom being far away (maybe a 1 min brisk walk) but it really isn't too bad to stretch our legs during the breaks. The restrooms are clean, with several stalls, smell like lemons, and 3 keys are available for each gender so you'll never have to wait in line. There is also a nice outdoor sitting area with tables near the restrooms that is a great quiet place to sit during lunch. I didn't have any glaring problems with the computers both times. The first time, I had a computer with a slightly off screen color and I could have changed it but didn't bother. Altogether, I would recommend this test center. read more

The staff took care to explain everything, and we could see that the COVID sanitation procedure was being followed very well. Traci and Marvin, the employees to administered the test for my daughter, were especially wonderful. I tested here for the GRE a few weeks ago and didn't have a very good experience. Although, I give the place three stars solely due to the staff being extremely helpful, kind, and all-around lovely people. Here are the issues that I had: -the bathroom is really far away; I ended up being late to the second half of my test because of the distance and time it took to get there and back -the testing room itself is not sound proof, so you can literally hear everything that everyone outside the door is saying/doing, making it extremely distracting -as an extension to the bullet point above, the staff who are right on the other side of the door don't try to be quiet at all or speak at a lower volume to compensate for the lack of sound proofing and very thin wall -people come in and out of the testing room every few minutes, and the door is heavy, so it slams shut every time, which also causes another huge source of distraction -I didn't like that the staff would whisper directions to people being seated once in the testing area...why can't you guys give all your directions BEFORE entering? That was frustrating. I'm not sure that I would return to this center if I ever have to take another standardized test, but I probably wouldn't, in large part due to the fact that I just did not feel like I could 100% focus during the test because of the noise and constant distractions, which I felt made a difference in my performance on the test. read more

I just took the MCAT here last week. I had a minor problem with check-in, in that the receptionist didn't check my name off, so they didn't call me to give me a desk. So if you notice that people who arrived after you have already been seated, do make sure that they properly checked you in. I had to convince them that, no, I was here before those five people, before they actually bothered to check what was wrong. The testing room itself was quiet, with about sixteen people in each of the three testing rooms. They will provide industrial headphones or ear plugs, and they give you a little booklet of paper and a couple pencils. I had a small flatscreen monitor, and the chair was comfortable enough. I had a problem with my mouse, which had a mind of its own, but they replaced it for me after the first test section. The locker they give you is small, barely big enough for my purse, but you don't really need to bring much, since the only thing you can keep with you is your ID and locker key. Leave the rest at home or in your car. If I had it to do over again, I would choose this test center. read more
