It has expanded over the last 15 years in ways that primarily support students and staff. It is clean, conducive for learning/studying, and I enjoy spending much of my time in the library and student center. In the event you must stay there all day, it has everything you need in recreation and food options on and off campus. The facilities are excellent and I truly would suggest TCC to young high school grads and people wanting to return to education.

Clean classrooms and the bathrooms remained clean throughout the day. Reception is very helpful, friendly and outgoing. The temperature in the classrooms can be a bit breezy at times but knowing that, you can bring in a jacket for when the air kicks on. There is a refrigerator if you'd like to bring in your lunch. However, while enrolled here; lunch, coffee/tea and beverages were included at no additional charge. The site simply asks that you consume them on site and not take them home. The instructor I had was very fluent in the course material and I didn't feel read to or smothered in unnecessary details that didn't support the material I'd be tested on. Books, pens/pencils and notepads were also included. Although there is a computer at your desk; it is requested that you do not surf the web during instructional hours. You can opt to leave your phone in the car or in the storage area at the reception area. Phones are not allowed in the classroom to minimize distractions and to maintain integrity when testing. Feel free to use them in the spacious break room. As you transit, keep noise levels low as there are other classes in session or people testing. Overall, a very positive experience and I' return for other course/certification offerings.

Located just off ODU campus in a residential area. The lot is huge and I never had issues with parking. Minor debris was in the lot and bushes. The front entry clean. Check-in is up front. An annual membership, guest/day pass is required. The ladies up front were friendly the week I visited. So when I say close to full service I mean close. In my opinion if they had a pool they would have it all. They have a full court basketball that is also used for volleyball, rock climbing wall, computer room, game room, art room, multi purpose rooms, fitness, playground and a fully stocked kitchen with all the equipment necessary for events. Programing is done monthly and a calendar is available in advance. Child daycare is offered. In the Summer camps are on going throughout the June, July and August. The fees compare to Virgina Beach Centers. I would recommend checking them out if you live in this area of Norfolk.

They both missed out on their kindergarten year due to Covid and unfortunately were very behind. I was able to see a HUGE improvement in just a few short months. Now 2 years later my children are excelling in their reading! So much so that I decided to now enroll my youngest who is soon to be entering Kindergarten. In just one month I have seen her growth. You can tell she takes much pride and care into the consistency and opportunities her families experience. She also provides very detailed and well laid out expectations for any enrolling students. This facility felt like a family run daycare in a larger and much more exciting and capable facility. The staff has been there for a long time, have emotional and physical investment in the facility and you can feel it. We ended up going with a care facility that was more convenient for us, but I know that should anything change in our future, we would reach out to Kyrah and Honeygrove Learning Academy with joy.
