The location was not hard to find once you found the building number and suite letter and it's right there when you walk in. The instructor did an amazing job introducing and refreshing effective methods of CPR and alternative methods with different scenarios and with us working together as a group and learning from one another being a team player to a real life situation. And she did a good job of going in to detail and demonstrate very well. And the class is 4 hours long but it goes by fast and you definitely learn and do a lot of hands on each set up the way which I love so you can watch and lean and be able retain what your viewing and retain the information as you go along. And she guided you through it all and also like how she gave us scenarios to give us ideas how we handle certain situations and environments while giving aid. Currently there is a $15 fee if you can't make your scheduled class time. I like that they offer classes on Saturdays. Their website makes it easy to sign up and they sell the updated BLS book version in class and online. Purchasing the book was not required for my class. The instructor was amazing and made the time feel like it flew by. Kathy was informative, funny and had a way of explaining things so that the information was easy to understand and retain. The classroom, mannequins and the ambu bags were clean. You are given the option of hands on practicing with the AED since there is only one machine for the entire class. Hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes were available. The classroom is fairy small but the chairs are spaced out for social distancing and masks are required. An annual membership, guest/day pass is required. The ladies up front were friendly the week I visited. So when I say close to full service I mean close. In my opinion if they had a pool they would have it all. They have a full court basketball that is also used for volleyball, rock climbing wall, computer room, game room, art room, multi purpose rooms, fitness, playground and a fully stocked kitchen with all the equipment necessary for events. Programing is done monthly and a calendar is available in advance. Child daycare is offered. In the Summer camps are on going throughout the June, July and August. The fees compare to Virgina Beach Centers. I would recommend checking them out if you live in this area of Norfolk.
