Despite being told that my retainer had been depleted by accrued fees, I repeatedly requested itemized billing statements and an accounting of my funds. Although I was advised that billing was being prepared, I never received documentation explaining or supporting the charges. Due to the lack of communication, transparency, and progress in my case, I ultimately retained new counsel, resulting in additional legal expenses.
