Its a quick service restaurant meaning you order what you want and then go to find a table. The sushi quality is very fresh and I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful it tastes. During their anniversary special each roll was only $1! With a 6 order maximum per person. My partner and I ordered twelve rolls total. Several of the rolls unfortunately were sold our due to how busy they were but my favorite was definitely the Salmon Avocado Roll. Will definitely be back to try others!

My partner had the teriyaki chicken which had large chunks of chicken.. cooked well enough.. the pieces were large so there wasn't enough marinade to go and it was more chicken to marinade ratio... Both our rices came out tepid almost cold instead of hot so I don't think it was fresh. Some of the rice chunks were hard. I think especially at any kind of Asian restaurant. The one thing that should be excellent is the rice and it wasn't. Actually that's probably a good way to describe the evening... it just felt not fresh and I think for a $70 dinner for two, no drinks. The meals should be at least that. We didn't order from the train just the set menus. I definitely won't be coming back and if you come from Melbourne where the Jap food is pretty much always good and at this price point great... be prepared to be let down!

I came back the next day and had the exact same dish. I actually asked for more vegetables and less chicken the 2nd time around because there was so much chicken. I also cheated and asked for extra flying fish roe (have to pay extra but worth every single penny). Downside is they got 1 order wrong. I guess that is good news since they appear to be genuine Japanese so communication took a bit of trying on both sides. Bottom line, good food that is great value for money.
