Project Tattoo Studio - Great place, good vibes. I was just a walk in and they took there time making sure that I made the right decision. - Tattoo Near Me - Mountlake Terrace, Washington

I've gotten a few tattoos from Dustin at Project Tattoo and I can't recommend this place enough! Dustin is incredibly talented, professional, and makes the whole experience comfortable from start to finish. The shop has a great vibe -- clean, welcoming, and easy to feel at home in. I'm very thankful it's right around the corner, because it's become my go-to spot for tattoos. If you're looking for quality work and an artist who truly cares about the details, this is the place. Highly recommend to anyone considering new ink! read more

Recently got two small tattoos from Matt at this studio. I couldn't be happier. Matt was patient and professional as I made up my mind and was just a cool dude. I would recommend this place for sure. One note, the address listed on yelp is old - they are located across the street on 220. Google for exact address. FYI - studio minimum is $100. Which is pretty reasonable. read more

I forgot to review from a year + ago. Just terrible experience. Wanted to get a memorial tattoo for the miscarriage I had following months of IVF. Sent the photo inspiration to Dustin. Came in with a deposit to hear that my photo was terrible and won't make a good tattoo. Can't believe I wasted my time to come bring $$ if he didn't think it could be done. And to hear that garbage from a man is the worst. I'm going to be seeking a shop that caters to women, and without the disrespect. Awful experience. read more

Experience was great, staff is friendly, the piece came out amazing, and the price was very reasonable, even cheaper than I expected for the quality! Shout-out to Dustin for this amazing piece! read more

Project Tattoo Studio - Fading light skull from Destiny 2, done by Dustin - Tattoo Near Me - Mountlake Terrace, Washington

This review is on behalf of my son, who recently had a tattoo inscribed on his arm. His artist was Khalil, and my son was thrilled with the work. My son knew the basic design (a dinosaur skull), and while he usually gets a single dark outline tattoo, Khalil convinced him that putting a bit of color on it would make it really stand out. Like I said, my son loved how it turned out. The shop itself opened around lunchtime, and even though he didn't have an appointment, they were able to get it done as a walk-in, even though it took a couple of hours. The studio was clean and professional looking, and they even allowed my granddaughter to use the bathroom (despite the sign saying no minors allowed inside). If I ever decide to get another tattoo myself, this is where I'm going. read more

The best tattoo shop in the north end, hands down. I used to go to Colorbomb tattoo, but these guys are so much more reliable and easy to work with. When I first found them via the Seattle Tattoo Convention, I was shocked that there were such talented tattoo artists so close to home, as I live in Lynnwood and most of the good artists are downtown. What I really love about these guys beyond their obvious talent is the way that they work with you. They are kind, down to earth and attentive. You feel like they truly care, and as long as you are not asking for something completely unreasonable they will do their best to listen to you and accommodate you. I have been to places before that have laid the stencil down, and even though the artist knew he could have laid it better, he opted not to to avoid more work. These guys will never short change you like that. These are the kind of people you want to trust with decorating your body. The shop itself is one of the nicest around. Brand spankin new from top to bottom, cleaner than heaven and tastefully decorated. I can tell a girl helped, unlike some shops that look and smell like a bachelor pad. I've been here 3 times, and have sent 2 of my friends over to get work, and we have all been more than happy with our work. Every artist in the shop holds down his own style, creating the Voltron like tattoo monster better known as Project Tattoo Studio. I would actually drive FROM Seattle to Mountlake Terrace to get work done by these guys. read more

YETTTTTT another one. :) This time, I called in advance-- and of course, Dustin fit me in. I came in with idea, and Dustin thought it wouldn't look as great as a tattoo. He spent 15 minutes playing with my idea, and it came out beautifully. He also helped with the placement. I am so happy with the placement, the drawing.. the SHOP! Loveeeeeeeee this place. read more

Will definitely come back in the future! read more

Not going to lie...was a little nervous going to get my tattoo finished by someone other than Dustin since he had done such a fabulous job. Came in, met Justin, asked if he could do the quote to go with the rest of my tattoo. He's pretty quiet and I was having anxiety having words (especially in a foreign language) tattooed permanently to me....So I'm sure I was a bit annoying checking and rechecking constantly. Justin did a great job on the lettering...exactly how I had wanted it. Even made sure not to cover up the water color hearts for me. He also did my tiny wrist tattoo of a semi colon. Everyone there is great, the place is clean and professional. So glad I found them....Will refer EVERYONE I know! read more

I dont normally write reviews... Project Tattoo studio gave me an amazing experience and restored my faith in tattoo artists! Mathew Beacham took time to draw on my body to fix what an other artist messed up. I was vulnerable as he was tattooing my butt. Non of the artist in the shop made me feel uncomfortable being exposed. Mathew was also very fast, steady work & easy to talk to. I highly recommend this shop. I have the majority of myself covered in tattoos. I have had some artist be rude, creepy, full of themselves, hit on me while tattooing, etc etc. Needless to say finding an artist with the style I like that is fast & respectful seems to be more difficult then I'd imagine. I am glad to have been connected to Mathew Beacham! read more

The shop was clean and had a good atmosphere to it. (Thanks for all the Bowie tacks Aaron). I wish I would have came here much sooner! Stopped in to ask a few questions and got to chat with a couple of the artists, as I was looking for a place to refer my clients who are wanting work that is outside of my area of expertise. There's a lot of great talent at this shop, very clean, friendly, and professional. I highly recommend Project Tattoo to anyone who is looking for an artist who consistently creates top quality work, as all of their artists are extremely skilled. read more

This is one of the cleanest best looking shops around and has some AMAZING and professional artists. I have been tattooed by both Tascar and Aaron, and look forward to getting tattooed by Dustin in the future. The shop is filled with talented artists who seem to cover a diverse range of styles and provide tattoos to anyone who is discerning enough to care for great art. I would (and do) recommend this shop to anyone looking to get tattoo work done. And for the record, the only people who call their tattoos TATTS, probably have a butterfly on their lower back and their astrological sign on their wrist. read more

*PLEASE READ IF YOURE CONSIDERING THIS SHOP* I wasn't very impressed with this tattoo shop. For various reasons. I had come in for my second tattoo and wanted a butterfly with some flowers. It was about 3 inches long and 4 inches wide. It was a very pretty design and I loved how the artist (I am pretty sure it was Matt?) put my ideas together. So the day after I came into the shop, I got a spot to get tattooed. I asked about the price, he said it would be about $120 - $200 for a crecent moon of flowers with a realistic butterfly (relatively small) on my forearm. He had said the tattoo should take 1-2 hours to complete. The outline, and shading. So I was pretty excited to get it done, then after a while of sitting in the chair I noticed how much my arm started to hurt, not from the tattoo but from how much pressure he had put on my arm and the friction from how hard he was spreading my skin. I would look and see how much of the butterfly he had completed after one hour, and he had only done half. I understand every artist has their own pace but he seemed to be purposefully taking longer than he should have. It was now almost 3 hours later from when we started tattooing. And I had to call it done because I was disappointed at how long it was taking to make such minimal work. Keep in mind this is only in black and grey, NO color. He had NOT SHADED THE FLOWERS AFTER 3 HOURS of a relatively small tattoo. Takes up maybe one third of the front of my forearm. At the desk when the price came up, he wanted $280 for a TATTOO THAT WASNT FINISHED. I was completely shocked, and not very happy to say the least. Fast forward almost a year now, I have gotten 4+ tattoos on the same arm by different artists. And at random times my healed tattoo will raise from my skin, and itch like CRAZY!!! Not one of my other tattoos have had this problem, and it turns out from some reasearch I am having allergic reactions to the ink he has used. So I will probably have to deal with this itching for the rest of my life. Overall this shop will milk you of your time, and is completely overpriced bullshit. I feel like I was robbed. FIND SOME OTHER SHOP!!! Trust me on this one. read more

Allyse and Dustin are awesome! Dustin is a great artist. My girlfriend got a tattoo done from him and looks amazing. Nothing wrong with it. Dont listen to the low review people. Not true. I LOVE MY TATTOO! project tattoo does an awesome job making you feel comfortable and welcomed in their shop. The atmosphere is very home like and the interior design is AMAZING! They have artwork on the walls personally done by them which made me more confident on what my tattoo would end up like. I gave Dustin a picture of the flowers i wanted, and he made the flowers look 10 times better. I am very pleased with the outcome of my tattoo. In lower reviews, someone mentioned having to get a touch up somewhere else.. that is perfectly normal with any tattoo anywhere you go and if you read the contract you had to sign you would have seen it says you receive a free touch up with your tattoo. If i get another tattoo i will definitely be going back to project tattoo. The prices are great and their artwork is wonderful! read more

I got my first tattoo here after meeting them at the tattoo expo in Seattle. I paid my $60 and then proceeded to change my mind quite a few times before finally deciding and perfecting the design. Aaron was really patient with me throughout the whole thing and didn't get upset when I completely changed the style, idea and location of the tattoo that I wanted. Once I picked out what I wanted (and X-Rayed rose with lyrics next to it) he was very imformative and let me know that in order for it to last it would need to be at least a certain size and helped me pick a font that wouldn't run together while still looking graceful. It's been over a year and the tattoo is still beautiful. They were friendly to me the whole time and I really enjoyed the experience. A few people are shocked by the price that I paid for my tattoo but in my book, a good artist is worth the extra money, I'm sure I could have gotten it cheaper but I paid for quality and I got it. Also, my mom got her first tattoo here from Dustin to go with my second tattoo(which i got elsewhere) and he did a beautiful job. I will definitely be going back for my next tattoo. read more

I just had a tattoo piece done by Dustin. It is amazing. I provided him with very little information about what I wanted other than a floral piece with seven individual flowers and a banner with a saying on it. He came up with an incredible design that was exactly what I was looking for. He is a really great artist. I was at the shop for 6 hours and all the artists were very professional with all their clients. The shop is very clean and nicely decorated with the artists' original artwork. They seemed to be able to deal with clients looking for more artistic pieces as well as those looking for simple pieces. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone interested in getting a tattoo. I know that my next tattoo will be done at that shop. read more

I think it's about time I wrote a review for this place! I just got my second tattoo here over the weekend. Brea was super helpful in putting my idea into something really workable, and the finished work is awesome. My wife just got her first last weekend with Dustin. My first was done by Aaron. I've had two of my siblings and even my grandpa go here for tattoos. They are always super accommodating and very friendly. Don't expect a dirty grungy old school shop if you're heading here. They run the cleanest shop I've ever seen and are genuinely nice people. Dustin even went out and grabbed me a gatorade while I got inked over the weekend. All four of the artists have their own personal style but they still work very well together. Whether you're looking for your first tattoo or want to add to your art this is the best place around. Project Tattoo Studio - Tattoo Near Me - Mountlake Terrace, Washington

So UNPROFESSIONAL First off never written a negative review for anything but this was so childish. I had went in for a tattoo With Matt and the first experience Was me waiting constantly over and over again for him to deal with a Zoom court call in which no one had any busines of listening to. This caused my 2-3 hour tattoo to result in a 6 hour unfinished tattoo. Now I'm understanding and did not care so much about the call as long as my tattoo got finished for the Agreed price. So I made a appointment when it was healed to finish it up And touch up the existing tattoo to which he agreed was free so I offered too pay for another small tattoo to make it worth his while . But apparently he didn't want to do it . but he did not want to use his words like an adult So bad to the point he dodged me for 2 weeks , and eventually BLOCKED me like a child. So if you want to be dodged and blocked if he doesn't like your design definitely go to him 2-3 tattoo=6 hour unfinished tattoo And getting blocked. read more

Great shop. Stopped in to get an estimate and was able to schedule the appoint for only a few days later. Got my tattoo from Dustin. He was friendly and quick. Understood what I was looking for and was willing to change it and tweak it to be exactly what I wanted. Shop was really clean, and I was the only one in there during my appointment. Dustin was quick and still did great work, doesn't look rushed at all read more

Well I went in for a quot on a tattoo .14 letters . was told 80.00 to 100.00 , Had the tatt air brushed on me to show then was told 100.00 to 120.00 , I ask for appointment was told there is a 60.00 deposit . cash only ! They were very rude . They also did a tatt on my friend turned out bad & had to be redone . They are all over the place when you ask for a price , Even when you bring in what you what . I HAVE MANY TATTS , NEVER BEEN TREATED THAT WAY . For a new shop they really need to get thier act together . I will not send anyone there . read more

This review would have been 4 stars had the tattoo artist not ranted to me in an email response to me canceling my appointment. I cancelled my appointment because the artist was really wishy-washy with the price and wasn't able to confirm with me exactly how much it was going to cost. She said that she couldn't give me an exact price because I wanted to resize the drawings to be 3 inches, (which she wouldn't have had to resize had she made it 3 inches in the first place like I had asked). I loved her design and really wanted to go through with it, but because she was so mumbly and unclear with the pricing, I just didn't feel comfortable enough to get it done. I wrote her an email explaining this and that maybe in the future I would pursue this design if we could get our ideas agreed upon. Up until she emailed me back, I was completely satisfied with my experience, even though I wasn't going to get a tattoo done, she was still very nice and very talented. She just needed to be more clear. Then, she decides to email me this: "Since you are changing the sizes of the two tattoos how could I possibly know how long something is going to take? I don't have a crystal ball. I told you $80 is the minimum. $150 is out hourly. Everyone at the shop is $150 an hour. I wouldn't tell you that the hourly is $120 because it simply is not.if you'd like to double check Our hourly you can call or talk to anyone who works there. We are an hourly shop. I don't give a set price before I've designed the tattoos. I had to redraw the seahorse and the arrow/resize them both. I think you have unrealistic expectations for a human being. I can't see the future, and maybe your skin is hard to tattoo, maybe it's easy that all makes the time doing a tattoo vary. If you're uncomfortable with me then it's probably best you get tattooed by someone else." I think it goes to show that she was too young to take a little bit of criticism and wasn't professional enough for what I was looking for. I know that I heard her say $120 hourly, not $150 and if that wasn't correct, then she needed to be more clear about the pricing. Not just say "well it could be this or that." read more

Very disappointed. Went in for an appointment and the artist Matt Beacham drew up a sketch completely different from what I asked. I sent him picture of exactly Wat I wanted. Don't understand how I didn't get my deposit back. Communication was very bad even though I kept pursuing. I wouldn't recommend this tattoo shop. Actually made a Yelp account just so I could write this review. read more

So far I have been working on a cover up for my lower leg with Tascar.. From the moment I walked in I would say the customer service has been 5 star. Im sorry to hear that the guy below felt awkward. I expected that upon walking in and was completely surprised. Tascar always gets off the phone as soon as I walk in the door. Yes they do ask for a 60 dollar deposit (a lot of the better shops do) I was happy to put down the 60 dollars. Tascar has sketched and RE sketched my tattoo and never complains when I come in and ask him to change something or add something different. I completely changed my mind on something I wanted sketched in and he was eager to change it and make it exactly the way I had pictured. I have been to other shops were they act as if you are a nuissance if you want them to change their sketches. (and now I am getting a cover up..imagine that) I would give the shop 5 stars but I havent actually gotten my tattoo yet. We have been working on the sketch for a month now! He has even offered to line everything out and then color when I have more cash to make it more affordable. It has been awesome. I am so excited to see the final sketch and to get the work done this week. I will update my stars as soon as it is finished. The price I have been quoted is so reasonable for the time and artwork. Also the shop is one of the cleanest and coolest looking tattoo shops I have been in. It doesnt look like a nasty bar restroom. Everything is new and the feel is kind of haunted house like...right down to the animal rug by the front door LOL. I've already recommended it to friends. UPDATE its been awhile and I got the tattoo. Have since had a baby and haven't had time to get it colored in. I still get compliments on my unfinished tattoo all the time. Great work, highly recommend. read more
