This is honestly a tough one to write as a reviewer. I have come here literally since the Marlborough Family Practice Group started and my son is now 40 years old and I brought him here since Kindergarten. Doctors Tuttle and Bentley were and are still excellent but their practice is now run by a Corporation, ProHealth is really set on "volume" and they have now been purchased recently by OPTUM HEALTH a huge conglomerate in the USA. Things have changed. Doctor Tuttle and Doctor Bentley are excellent physicians that care about their patients, the other doctors here do too as do the Physicians Assistants and Nurses but they are all now "under the gun" and things are different. Rarely do I get to see a doctor, almost always a PA even if I really "want" to see a doctor and I'm not a frequent visitor at all to any M.D. so it sucks when you feel you need one and you can't get past an Assistant. Time with you is limited and it is now at the point where all the people in town that I have talked to recently have said the same. Most area people are looking to try to find new Primary Care doctors for themselves and their families. It sucks because the doctors here are Fabulous and I want to keep seeing them because you can trust them, but the Corporation limitation of time with patients "system" sucks. My family and I have been patients the last 30 years and unfortunately have seen it go downhill in the last 10. The physicians are WONDERFUL, but everything about the people who run this business is horrible! It was bought out by a big corporation who clearly don't care about the patients. My mother was waiting on blood results to come back for over a month and after she received them, she wanted to review the results with her physician. She could not get ahold of anyone and found out that she had a rare blood disease that needed medication immediately and they would not contact her. This is our last straw after unfortunately way too many times they have failed us. read more

Note: I was a patient here with Dr. Davis for years. He provided excellent care, but has moved on to new things. This review reflects my experience after he left. Things have gone downhill very rapidly in the past year or two. The office is more disorganized. You can expect to wait 45 minutes or an hour to see anyone. In one case, I sat there for 45 minutes and was not seen, even though I was the only one in the room the entire time; no patients came or left at all. They do not give you a heads up when things are running behind as they once did with a whiteboard, so you're left to sit and wonder. The waiting room does not have wifi access, and my phone's service (TMobile) doesn't work there, and I was told other services don't work either. Along with waiting, many of the newer staff members are very rude. During my last visit, I asked one of them a question, and she walked out of the room entirely without answering or saying anything. I was left in the patient room for 15 minutes, wondering where they'd gone, before I gave up waiting and asked someone else to help me. I do worry about the health code adherence at this facility as well. When they attempted to do a blood draw on me, the staff member ripped off a finger of her glove to better feel for a vein, which seems like a health code violation. They were unable to draw blood, and informed me the normal person was out to lunch, suggesting that I go to the waiting room for an hour to wait for the blood draw. I feel that a more organized approach could have had me get the blood draw before that lunch started. I finally voiced my frustrations and complained to the front desk. They provided me with a phone number to use to call (860-674-7320). The person on the complaints line was extremely compassionate, validating, and invested in hearing my feedback. I explained everything, and felt like action would be taken. I'm not sure what action was taken, but it appears I was shadowbanned from the office after this time. A few weeks later, there was heavy snow, and I called the office to reschedule an appointment I had with them. They said I had no appointment scheduled, which seemed strange. I shrugged it off and assumed I'd made some kind of mistake. A few weeks later, I had a surgery scheduled, and I used the portal six days ahead of the surgery to ask if I could take an anxiety medication for the surgery, or if that would cause issues. They did not reply, and a few days later they also did not reply to my followup, so I went to the surgery without it, which made the experience more emotionally difficult for me. I eventually decided that I would look for a new doctor to replace ProHealth, and had an appointment a week ago with them. I signed a release form with the doctor to ask for my records to be transferred. We did not hear back. In the meantime, my pharmacy tired to get a prescription renewed for a medication I had through them, and I received an automated message on the portal saying that the prescription was rejected (Reason for denial: Refill not appropriate.) I needed this medication, so this left me scrambling to get it renewed through other channels. I called ProHealth today to ask how I could help get my medical records transferred over to find out that they have a third-party service that handles it, and that they'd sent it to them eight days ago. They gave me a number to call. When I call the number, I get an automated service that says it will text me a link where I can talk to them via online chat, then hangs up. It did not text me a link - I tried twice. While on the phone with ProHealth today, I asked if I was still a client. They confirmed I wasn't - this is the first I'd heard of it, months later. I was told that I had been mailed a letter informing me of this. Given that I did not receive a letter and how their communication is thus far, I doubt it was sent. They said they would send another. It's possible this is in retaliation to my complaint. A bad experience, and it seems from recent reviews I'm not alone. Difficult to switch, too. Beware! read more

I've never encountered a more poorly run medical practice than Pro Health Physicians. While they claim to prioritize patient care, my experience was anything but. I had an appointment at the office in Marlborough. I walked in to check into my appointment and kindly waited for a gentlemen's in front of me to finish up~4 min. When it was my turn to check in they informed me that I have to reschedule my appointment because I was 10 min late. The woman at the front desk was unaccommodating and rude. Meanwhile, I was forced to wait for them to even call me to check in. It's incredibly frustrating that they seem to value their own time over patients' needs. If you're considering going here, be prepared for rude staff and a complete lack of understanding when it comes to respecting patients' time. This practice is a prime example of what happens when a company cares more about appearances than actual service. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and will find a whole different company. read more

Not worth your time! Will not take care of your needs. I asked for a APRN and someone who prescribe medication for myself before making a appointment and they made a physical appointment for me which I never asked for and Sarah Vimini sent me over to a different APRN called ethos over FaceTime which resulted in no accomplishments. Come to find out Sarah is a PA and could have prescribed me meds. I've completely given up on health care and will no longer want help since this situation with pro health physicians already leaded to no accomplishments. Also they charged me for a tobacco consultation when there was no result in help for it. Very upset and disappointed with these people. I will be spreading the word to all since I have no insurance and they are wasting my time. read more

As I'm writing this, I am currently looking for a new primary physician. My entire family went to this practice at first. As of right now, both of my sisters have chosen to see other doctors and now I am as well. The service here is fine. The doctors and nurses are fine. The problem is that the wait time on the phone is at least 30 minutes each time that you call, the receptionists are extremely rude, and getting an appointment there at a reasonable time is unlikely. What pushed me over the edge today was that I got a letter stating that I had missed calls and that they weren't refilling my medication if I didn't call them. I called them today, two days after receiving this letter. I had to wait 26 minutes on the phone just to be rerouted to my own specific office and wait on hold more. I was met with a rude receptionist whom I told that each time they tried to call, the call was silent when I picked up, meaning I was unable to return or respond to calls. She told me, "I don't know what to tell you, that sounds like an issue on your end". I asked if I could schedule an appointment and she told me "you were supposed to schedule BY June. It is June". I asked her once again to schedule and she told me, "that's what I'm TRYING TO DO". That being said, I can't get into my "very important" appointment until the 29th, which was the soonest one. I am overall really disappointed with this place and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The wait times are always long, the staff is rude, and there is not a lot of personalized care considering how many people are under this one practice. I can't even imagine trying to get my files over once I find a new office to go to. There's so many patients there and their behavior shows that they really find more importance in Quantity of patients over quality of service. Don't waste your time here. read more

My family has been going here for about 20 years. Everyone has always been wonderful. If you see anyone EXCEPT Dr. Kumar you'll be fine. However, if you happen to be seen by her, CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT AND FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR! She is terrible at communicating, she ignored calls from us and our pharmacy to complete a refill, she refuses to treat anything and wants follow up visit after follow up visit. She very much appears to be someone who is afraid to be sued, or has been sued extensively for being so bad at her job that she is...afraid to be sued...again. read more

It too bad that that there isnt an option for zero ,or negative stars. This place evolved out of "Marlborough family (mail)practice" and managed to get even worse. i went there with severe pain on my right side, the doctor had me remove my shirt and lay down and began examining my LEFT side. I asked what he was doing and the reply was "checking your ribs" I had to explain that was not MY right , it was his. another doctor prescribed Valium; which I was on for years, contrary to any established protocol. (Who knew?, I trusted them) another doctor then cut off the Valium and I went through severe "cold turkey" withdrawal. I complained of fatigue, joint pain, swollen joints, skin rashes , headaches I'd never had before, and a host of other symptoms. I'd been extremely healthy and very fit and had started experiencing epic weight gain , unexpected hair loss, no a host of other symptoms. I couldn't maintain balance or cross my legs while seated; they treated me for pneumonia with antibiotics over half a dozen times, (again, I never suspected improbable having pneumonia that many times in 5 years would be) .They sent me for a liver biopsy and it was quite painful. I left and found an infectious disease specialist who, through various tests , determined that I had second stage, disseminated Lyme disease. After a long course of antibiotics I began to recover. One day, I looked out my window and had that feeling one gets when they revisit a place they'd been many years ago. Most symptoms disappeared, but I had damage to both shoulders and a hip all requiring surgery (including a hip replacement) All before age 55. . They might be able to diagnose a broken leg, but I wouldn't let them treat it. I am sure that my "Cassandra" warnings will fall on many deaf ears, but for what it's worth; please don't trust your health or that of loved ones to this group of "doctors" read more

The doctors are very good here but the office leaves much to be desired. If you have the patience to deal with records that are not updated as requested, appointments being cancelled at the last minute and documents not faxed in a timely manner, then you will be fine here. read more

My name is m.wills. Dr Steim has been my granddaughter pediatrician since she was six years old she currently is not at her practice in east Hampton Ct, so Dr.Volkin is covering for doctor Steim today (5/23). My granddaughter has an appointment with Dr.Volkin. Dr.Volkin refused to see Adrianna because she checked positive Covid test on Wednesday of (05/07) and has been on quarantine since then. Adrianna has been vaccinated twice and had a booster shot as of May 7th as prescribed by C.D.C , this information was presented to Dr.Volkin and she still refused to do Adrianna yearly psychical as needed as i saw that Adrianna was not going to be treated as the patient of Dr.Steim I decided to not have Adrianna sit and wait there and be made to feel, her and I, to feel that Adrianna and I both have LEPROSY instead of a positive Covid test on (05/07) therefore I will be looking for another doctor who practices being a doctor as the Hippocratic Oath dictates. Apparently they've crossed my patient records with someone else, who bounces checks. We pay by credit card from our HSA account. Three calls to accounting and still no resolution. They always give me the same line "A manger will get back to you soon". They never do. Doesn't seem very HIPPA compliant if they've mixed me up with another patient. read more

Horrible . Practice never answers the office phone. You get a very long recording finally stating they will get back to you in 2 business days. So if its a Friday and you need a prescription refilled or need to see a dr, you can forget about it. Their hours are not posted on their website and change weekly. They do not get back to you in a timely manner. I ran out of a prescription on Monday. Went to the pharmacy to have it filled. They gave me 2 pills and told me to call the dr. The office told me I could not get my prescription refilled, (after being on it for 10 years) without making an appt., which hasn't happened before. I made the appt. and called 5 times on fri. w/o getting a person to talk to get and was unable to get the prescription refilled before the weekend. They did call me back late afternoon ironically telling me I needed to call the office. I was off of a prescription for 5 days that if you stop you can have seizures. Sat in the exam room for 30 mins before seeing the dr. I told the nurse my problems in refilling the prescription and I had not slept for 2 nights and had sweats from being off the prescription. The Dr. finally came in, did not address my problems or concerns, and told me I had 30 days to find a new dr. and stalked out of the room in an extremely unprofessional manner. Corinne H. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Bentley for close to 30 yrs.. He is Kind, easy to talk to & knows his stuff!! All the staff members are very pleasant & it comes through in the atmosphere of the office. If you need a new doc, I would highly recommend him & the group. read more
