About 6 months in, my swipe card did not work & I couldn't enter the gym until I could go on staffed hours and get my card reset. They said it had only ever happened to one other person - but I was still upset I couldn't get into the gym for 2 weeks or so. The free weights & machines are easily accessible and there is a good variety for all body types and workouts. They also changed their back room into a "CrossFit dungeon," but the ceilings are not that high and the squat racks are somewhat unstable and swing. They used to have towels for members, but now they no longer provide any. When I went to cancel my membership a week in advance, like their policy/gym contract states, I was one week early, only to find out I was "one day late" according to the owners, and was charged an additional month, without even being in the area/going to any of their gyms. I thought that was a total rip-off of $35, since in my mind, I cancelled in time. Overall, okay gym.

In terms of equipment and space the best gym I've ever been in. Staff have been rude at times, but…read morethat really doesn't bother me nor does it bring down the score. What I have a problem with are the hours, which are neither long nor particularly consistent. I can understand a shorter time on weekends, but on Fridays the gym inexplicably closes two hours earlier than normal. My job has variable hours and there is no more frustrating experience than having to work a bit late on a Friday and missing an entire training session because of it. It really happens more than you would think and with the amount of times it has happened to me I would be making the same or more progress at a mediocre gym with longer hours simply due to missed training sessions. Overall a 5/5 weightroom in terms of quality, but 3/5 in terms of hours. Is it really that impossible to add a door scanner or something? Do I really need to miss an entire training session so that I can be monitored by an employee who will do nothing more than check a box next to my name when I want to lift heavy circles? Also lastly, in terms of accessing secondary services such as the tennis or locker room there is little information available and I had to check the website to even find out there was a sauna at all. I could understand having these close earlier due to the need for maintenance but not the weightroom closing at 8 on a Friday.

Course was in great shape (besides a few mud spots) but the area has gotten so much rain recently that Sunnehanna Country Club (10 minutes away) had those same spots. Challenging course with very tight tee shots on 3 and 7 specifically, as well as some severely sloped greens that won't hold a ball. Would definitely come back here if I was ever in the area again. Great value, lots of fun.
