This office is located inside Lens Crafters. The staff here are so incredibly kind and professional. I arrived about 10 minutes late for my appointment but the ladies up front quickly checked me in without any issue. I was given some forms to complete as we were first time patients. My daughter and I didn't wait long before we were called back to begin our eye exams. The process was very simple, the assistant did a typical vision test with letters and a couple other tests on a machine. We were then placed into a room where we met Dr. Troung. He completed the rest of our vision exam and explained everything he was doing. I loved that he repeatedly asked if I had any questions. He was sincerely interested in making sure I was informed. My daughter is 8 and this was her first exam. Dr. Troung was great with her, his approach was incredibly gentle. I will absolutely be bringing the rest of my family here. Thank you! read more

I have been going here for years. The last 2 times it has been an issue with the front desk so they have lost my business. I was told 1 time to drop in to order contacts. I went after their lunch and sat there for over 40 mins. No one around. I walked around and couldn't find anyone. I wrote a note and left it on the computer for someone to call me back. Still NO call back until I called days later asking if anyone was going to help me to order contacts. I wanted to give another chance cause I liked the doctor. I called to book my yearly appointment. Told them I had new insurance and wanted to provide them with it. They said no need. They can do it all on their back end. Then I get a call a day before asking me for my insurance. I cancelled my appointment. the front desk team just have lack of communication or care for the patients. read more

The last time I wore contacts was two years ago. The doctor made changes and inserted trial contacts and told me to let him know in a week if they worked out. Before I left the facility I was given a copy of prescriptions for glasses and contacts. When I got home I compared the contact prescription with my previous prescription and they were the same. The doctor made changes but didn't annotate on the prescription. When I called and asked about it I was told, "you signed for it" (the prescription). Sure, I signed for it because I thought it was the new prescription. I was told someone would talk with the doctor and call me back but I haven't heard from anyone. I also went to the office and inquired about the error and was told the doctor was not in. This is very frustrating. The trial contacts are excellent and I would like to order them. The trials are not the same power as the previous precscription as I cannot see with the old contact prescription. I shouldn't have to pay for another evaluation because an error was made on their side. Why aren't the trials annotated in the doctors notes??? read more

I set an appointment before COVID shut down, and they been communicating with me since to keep me up to date on when I can make an appointment. I asked for an appointment in June to be safe, and as soon as it was lifted they called me and asked if I wanted to come in sooner. Everyone was friendly, doctor was awesome, staff was great as well!! Sanitizing/cleaning everything while I was there, and remained super friendly and helpful! Much appreciated! Optometrist Jerrin Chiu was phenomenal. He was kind. Soft spoken, very reassuring that my vision wasn't as bad as I thought, and was kind to explain a lot of what I was worried about, and calmed my nerves. He was fast, efficient and made me feel very confident in my vision. He corrected me not using tools a previous eye doctor told me to use, and I felt so relieved and almost upset I listened to someone else for so long. Headaches gone! What a miracle he was to visit. After almost 10 years I had to switch optometrist due to my insurance plan. Although the office is a bit small the staff is so amazing! The receptionist at the front are kind and friendly. The Doctor is definitely top three best doctors I've ever been a patient for, and trust my previous optometrist was hard to leave. Took my son for an appointment here w Dr. Kant Ng. Very knowledgeable however his customer relations is 1 star out of 10. After my son eye contact examination we were told he will get "training" w his staff. The staff put my son on YouTube and no hands on training so I stepped in to show him after witnessing him struggling to remove the contacts. Dr Ng then came in and told me to bring back my son to get training w his staff on a different day and that I'm intimidating my son and that I didn't give his staff to do the training. First of all, your staff put him on YouTube and didn't do any hands on training. So dr offered to train my son.. about time!! Maybe don't leave your staff unattended so Dr. NG can be aware of what's going on instead of storming in and making assumptions. I canceled my appointment with Dr. NG for my glasses and made sure to go with Dr. Truong. I did get an apology with dr ng but his apology doesn't make up for the lack of customer service I received from him read more

This office is pretty good! Dr Truong was a great doctor for me. He definitely made sure I liked my contact lens prescription and was pretty accommodating. The staff is decently friendly. Erica is the most helpful and nicest of the front office so I only liked interacting with her. I have no insurance and I paid $168 total for my contact lens eye exam and I have astigmatism and a high prescription (so it costs more). Overall had no complaints and I'm likely to come here again! read more

The staff were very friendly and the office is clean with modern equipment. However, when my doctor examined my eyes, he determined that my previous doctor prescribed me lenses that were slightly more powerful than I needed. He prescribed me a significantly lower prescription than what I was used to. When my new glasses arrived, it was like my vision took a significant step backwards. I couldn't see things clearly that I was used to being able to see. I immediately informed them that I would not be paying for glasses that reduced my vision to that extent. The doctor agreed to re-examine my eyes and he boosted my prescription slightly, but he gave me attitude about it and acted like I was putting him out to have to re-examine my eyes. With due respect, don't drop someone's prescription almost 15% and expect there not to be backlash. read more

We have been going to Dr. Ng for more than 10 years, and think he is great! The front office staff however really needs to work on their professionalism. They were having a conversation with a patient that was clearly a personal friend based on the language and the amount of cursing that was happening. Dr Ng is a great doctor, I thought I might need an eye surgery and called the office for an eye exam, and receptionist set it up pretty quickly for the next day. (Currently the Covid-19 is really bad so they only take emergencies) Next day Dr. Ng looked it over carefully, total time took about 80 minutes including dilution time. He was genuinely concerned and really took his time etc, at first I thought he is just serious in general but when it turned out my eye is most likely fine he seemed much more relaxed and relieved, few other incidences also indicate he was genuinely concerned about my eye etc. He took his time to answer all my questions, and I had lots. Told me to take it easy on the eye and come back in a month to check on it again. Every time he comes back to the exam room he would use some purell (Covid19 going on currently so he is being extra careful toward patients) Wiped down machine surfaces before each examination. I would highly recommend Dr. Ng. Few other minor things, ceiling light near reception desk was flickering, exam room's paper towel was on its last piece and wasn't replaced, CC payment receipt time showed an hour early (Day light savings time wasn't corrected) But consider the current Covid19 situation I would say those are ok, maybe they are understaffed, limited hours, only open for emergencies. Also in the website in Dr Paul Chen's profile there is an error (with [company_name] since). Overall I would still give them 4 to 5 out of 5 stars, Dr. Ng is great. read more

Both Dr. Ng and Lenscrafters are amazing. I had an examination with Progressive Eyecare and ordered progressive lens glasses for the first time. When I picked up the glasses, I was told it should take about 2 weeks to get used to them. But after 3+ weeks, I was still struggling. I called Lenscrafters and was told to come back in. When I did, Jennifer was so helpful. She adjusted, remeasured and reexplained how the lenses work. She also suggested a recheck of the prescription. When I went back to Progressive Eyecare for the recheck, Dr. Ng was amazing. He's patient, friendly and has a great sense of humor. He took the time to explain the upside and downside of these glasses. He also performed a reexamination and confirmed that my prescription was accurate. Some people just don't adjust well to these lenses and I guess I'm one of them. Both Dr. Ng and Lenscrafters were so helpful with my struggle even though both offices did everything right in the first place. It seems customer service is lacking in this day and age. So when businesses go above and beyond, they definitely deserve recognition for it. read more

This office is connected to LensCrafters and I feel there is some pressure to purchase glasses there but you still have the option to politely decline and take your Rx to somewhere cheaper if you prefer. read more

Best optometrist in town! I have been coming to this office for a few years now and will continue to for as long as he is in practice. I was forced to go to walmart when my insurance cut progressive eyecare from our network and Dr.Ng later informed me that the optometrist at Walmart over corrected my prescription which explained the headaches I was getting from the strain of looking at things close up like my phone and computer screen. This review is in no way based on Dr. Ng. He's very thorough, great with kids, and his exam room banter is never weird or forced like most . His f/o staff however is always rude, petty , and displays a really bothered attitude....unless of course Dr Ng. is present. I fully understand the limitations placed on everyone right now due to covid. I certainly don't mind waiting as I'm sure there are many of us trying to incorporate things like getting your kids glasses fixed into the limited time and space we now have. However, to wait on hold for no less than 15 minutes on three different occasions, be routed to a nonfunctioning number or email , then call back and have the staff IN THE BUILDING WITH THEM tell me they're sitting right there but they're not answering the phone is beyond frustrating. They really need to grow up and stop with the ' Lord of the 8x5 work space, I just got my PIMA certificate so I'm in control games'. It's a really bad look for the office , on top of them physically looking bad in the office (get that horrible hair and makeup together) .
