History

Established in 2007.

There is nothing traditional about our practices. We were founded and are locally owned and operated by physical therapists. We have a passion for delivering the highest standard of care in a very friendly environment. We believe that when it comes to great health, prevention is key. We have provided injury prevention services for over 1000 athletes and members of our community since starting our practice. We continually add services outside of traditional physical therapy which promote health and fitness.

Meet the Business Owner: Myra P.

Dr. Myra Pumphrey received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University. She continued her education at Kaiser Hayward Physical Therapy Fellowship Program in Advanced Orthopedic Manual Therapy in San Francisco and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Creighton University. Myra is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists, an ABPTS Certified Orthopedic Certified Specialist, a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer and a STOTT® Certified Pilates Instructor. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the APTA Orthopedic Section, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists and the National Athletic Trainers Association. Myra guest lectures in the Physical Therapy Doctoral program at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is also a co-founder of the Virginia Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Institute (VOMPTI), which provides continuing education for Physical Therapists.
