On social media, they advertise maintenance services for around $50-$70, but during the visit they told me the capacitor needed to be replaced. They quoted me around $350 for that repair (the capacitor real price is 30), although they offered a lower price if I also purchased two additional maintenance visits. I ended up paying a total of $478. About 15 days later, the AC stopped working again. I called them back, and based on my experience, without performing sufficient diagnostic testing, they told me there was apparently a leak and recommended replacing the entire AC system. They gave me several replacement options, ranging from around $9,000-$10,000 up to approximately $20,000. I decided to get a second opinion from another HVAC company. They actually performed proper leak testing with equipment and found no leak at all. The problem was simply the AC motor. They replaced the motor, and it has now been about 20 days and the system is still working properly. By the way the cost in the other company for my 2.5 ton HVAC system was 5k, half of the price that o the way gave me. I'm sharing my experience because I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to an expensive repair or full system replacement. In my case, another company provided a completely different diagnosis and fixed the actual problem without replacing the entire system. Finally they refung the 478 USD paid but they are not trusty!

When we purchased our home in late 2018, the hvac unit was four years old, installed in 2014, but probably wasn't quite the correct size, wasn't large enough, for the size of our home. We've experienced a variety of HVAC issues over the past six years and for the most part, our single-man hvac contractor has made the required repairs and kept the unit running, in spite of the challenges he faced with our equipment. Due to the fact that the system wasn't large enough for our square footage, it struggled to maintain the set temperature for five months of out the year; the thermostat often registered 3+ degrees higher than our day time preferred temperature of 75 degrees. Over the past two years, from the months of May through September, we kept the majority of our window treatments closed, cleaned our laundry during evening hours, and avoided using the stove due to the risk of temperatures increasing to 78-80 degrees. As 2024 marked 10 years from hvac installation, we knew we were on borrowed time. On Friday, May 10th, 2024, after 4:00pm, we realized the A/C unit wasn't working properly as the compressor fan was turning on and off and the air handler was emitting a clicking sound. We quickly contacted our beloved hvac contractor, but he was unavailable to respond. (We've also known our contractor is nearing retirement and we would be in need of a different hvac company, soon) We contacted another local company recommended by a neighbor, but they couldn't respond until Monday. I then remembered Lambert Air. Mr. Lambert is the husband of a wonderful woman I originally met in 2017, and they own Lambert Air, a family owned and operated business. I had performed my due diligence, years prior, and confirmed the contractor license, etc. Additionally, I had recently read a customer review of Lambert Air, posted in February of 2024, which revealed the reviewer's experience with seven other hvac companies compared to her amazing experience with Lambert Air, which I took note of. Around 4:30pm, on that Friday afternoon, I called Lambert Air and spoke to the owner, Kevin. He was understanding, professional, and sympathetic. He dispatched one of his techs, Darren, who responded to our home within the hour. Darren quickly identified the problem and was able to make the temporary repair. Darren was professional and thoroughly explained the issue and further repair options. The following week, I contacted Lambert Air and spoke to the office manager, Chase. She and I discussed our options, going forward, including repair vs. replacement. Chase is clearly experienced, knowledgeable, and proficient in the industry and her field. Chase dispatched Jeff, another fabulous tech, to our home, the following day. Jeff further discussed repair vs. replacement options and provided us with a step-by-step verbal guide to selecting a new unit. Jeff followed up with us the next morning, and texted us several pricing options. We were extremely satisfied with the equipment options, pricing, and integrity of the owner and all employees and chose not to obtain any additional bids from competing companies. We opted to replace the unit. We contacted Chase, who is truly a pleasure to work with, and scheduled replacement for yesterday, June 4th, 2024. As scheduled, Tony and Cole arrived at our home promptly at 8:35am, yesterday, for installation. As with all other Lambert Air employees we encountered, they were professional, knowledgeable, and displayed an impressive work ethic. They efficiently removed the old equipment, thoroughly blew out our water drainage pipe, secured our hurricane pad to the concrete, and installed the new equipment and thermostat. They patiently answered all of our questions and provided helpful tips to maintaining the health of the unit, going forward. Chase contacted us this morning to ensure everything was operating smoothly and to determine whether we had any further questions or concerns. Today, for the first summer day in several years, we were able to open our window shutters and shades without fear of a dramatic increase in the temperature of our home. We couldn't be more pleased. I don't recommend or provide reviews for a plethora of service companies, but when I do, rest assured, the company has earned our business, trust, and loyalty.

From the start with them, this process has been very organized, helpful, and we have had great communication. They really assisted us every step of the way. Brandt assisted us initially with inspecting our old unit and letting us know his recommendations for our new one. Koral assisted us with the financial aspect and warranty and setting up our installation appointment. We couldn't believe that our appointment was only two days later. It was so fast. Devin and Noel did our installation and came back today for final touches before the county inspection on Tuesday. Happy that we could have a cool house and be ready for the hot weather coming real soon.
