They have a wide range of beer and wine, also local beers. The atmosphere? Well it has a steel based interior and surprisingly enough that works fine. The walls are the windows and you will be watched from the outside- or vice versa. So, how was the food? I enjoyed my vegetarian meal, but it lacked soul and taste somehow. The deer was nice too but not extra ordinary this time around. Our waiter? Well, he seemed a bit tired and did not know much about the beer. A bit more enthusiasm would be nice. To summarise, the place has potential, but to stand out, it needs that little extra, in my humble opinion.

Very impressive place in the heart of Hamar…read more I was greeted right as I walked through the doors by a friendly blonde who looked like she enjoyed her job and was happy to be there. It was not overly crowded when I sat down, but it quickly began filling up with locals who just couldn't wait to get their fix after work. I ordered the Taco Sandwich and replaced the salad with fries because I haven't had them in ages (or because I'm American and lagging behind on my 2013 diet resolution), and both came out quickly and were very good. I ordered the Taco Sandwich just to see what it was (since we don't actually eat that in the USA) and it was more or less toasted bread with taco meat and tomatoes in the middle, accompanied by white cheese. It was pretty good! The portion of fries was the most American thing about the meal, however. It was HUGE. But very delicious, nonetheless. The price of the meal was around 138kr and I also ordered a 0.6 Ringnes for 77kr. Decently priced for a smaller city with less competition. The atmosphere is great. It is bright, lively, and very Americana. I'll definitely return here when I'm in Hamar next!
