I would not have selected even one star, but was forced to make a selection in order to write a review... We called this contractor who advertises snow removal on behalf of ourselves and 3 of our neighbors to hire him to clear driveways and a path down our road which is not state-maintained. He said he already had a client in our neighborhood and was related to another neighbor and was scheduled to come by the next morning. We told him that we had an 88 year old family member living with us and that each of us including the neighbors involved had significant health problems including one who whose spouse is paralyzed to which he responded, "Tell her to wait; I'll give her a good deal." He quoted a price of $150-200 for our driveway which is about 300 feet long, and stated that he would give us a better price as more of our neighbors got involved. He committed to coming to our homes the next day between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. He had not arrived at 1:15 p.m.; I called, and he said he would be here in an hour. At 4:00, he had not arrived or called. As we waited, we called him but could not reach him. At about 5:00 p.m., he called to say he had been stuck but was on his way. When he arrived about 30 minutes later, he wanted to charge us $500 to clear our driveway and our neighbor who is paralyzed $1,200 to clear the culdesac. He wasted our day and postponed our ability to get help by someone who could have been trusted. I will not make the mistake of calling this man or trusting his word again. read more
