I had my lashes done at a different salon just one week earlier, but they were already falling out and needed a touch-up. It was almost 7:00 PM on a Saturday, and I knew I was walking in without an appointment. The moment I walked into Bright Star Lashes, I was warmly greeted by Linda (owner). Even though she and her staff were busy with other clients, she took the time to listen to my situation. She explained that everyone was occupied, but her trainee, Rose, could help me under her guidance. She reassured me that Rose would do a great job and that she would personally check in throughout the appointment. To my surprise, Linda also offered me a $10 discount because Rose was still in training. I thought that was incredibly thoughtful and honest, especially since I had walked in without an appointment and they were already doing me a favor by staying late. I am so grateful that Linda and Rose stayed well past their closing time to help me. Their salon closes at 8:00 PM, but they didn't finish until after 9:00 PM. At no point did I feel rushed. Linda repeatedly checked Rose's work, and in the end, she personally finished my lashes to make sure everything looked perfect. They truly took their time and cared about the quality of their work. What impressed me the most wasn't just my beautiful lashes ...it was the kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion Linda showed me. She could have easily asked me to come back another day, especially since I arrived late without an appointment, but instead she went above and beyond to help because I had an important event to attend. The salon is spotless, beautifully organized, and smells amazing. Even the restroom was exceptionally clean. I was there for over two hours, yet I felt comfortable and welcomed the entire time. Thank you so much, Linda and Rose, for your outstanding service and for treating me with such kindness. It's rare to find a business that truly puts customers first. Called and made an appointment for a facial. Hard to make an appointment due to their time schedule and mine, but finally got one in. The room where you get your facial is too small. The gurney is against the wall so the person doing my facial can't walk around me, but it was okay. She searched for every black head she could find on my nose and face. Very thorough. Also very painful having those pushed out, but I felt like I definitely got my moneys worth. The second time I went, I had a different person doing my facial, and she wasn't as through as the first person, but it was ok. Getting your underarm waxed here isn't painful. It was okay, but I feel like the European Wax Center does a better job. Still gonna come back here though for facials and underarm waxing due to the cost and convenience of free parking.

It is right off the freeway and they have designated retail parking spots for customers. The salon is quaint and quiet, with a seated waiting area. My experience with Neda was amazing, to say the least. I have not gotten my brows + upper lip threaded in a long time (before the pandemic), so my pain threshold was lower than anticipated. But she talked me through it and tried to be as gentle as possible, while we chatted amongst ourselves. She kept it professional, but also warm and it made the experience all the better. I plan on going back in four weeks, but it's so nice that Ziba offers automatic rescheduling. So, you don't have to book the appointments yourself every time. Very convenient! I booked the $19 brow cleanup online as opposed to the $25 'brow shaping'. When I got in she did my brows but when I went to pay she charged me the $25. When I clarified that's not what I booked she said I had waited too long since my last appointment (it was the second time I was there, it had probably been 3 months) and that my brows were too overgrown for just a cleanup. She did not apologize, in fact I was made to feel ashamed that I didn't book the appropriate service. First of all, if there is a regulation like this it needs to be stated on the website when people are booking. But how can they know how long it's been since your last appt unless it was also with them? She also should've told me as soon as I sat down in the chair that she wouldn't be able to do what I booked and that there would be an additional charge. The actual brow work was fine but the poor customer service and sus business practices turned me off forever.
