I brought them back to be fixed and the manager, a black haired lady refused to believe they were incorrect. An altercation ensued in which she absolutely lost the plot with me completely unnecessarily. I stood up for myself and she bizarrely called the police on me and threw me out of the shop. I tried to reason with her numerous times and finally offered to pay for the trousers to be redone. She absolutely refused to engage with me to resolve the situation, amicably. I'm so glad it will be all on camera. Have never in my life encountered such aggression towards myself a paying long time customer. I don't know who the owners are but they really need to check how staff talk to customers when they have an issue with a garment not being correct. The manager needs to do a course in politeness and learn how to resolve a customers unhappiness without shouting back at the customer and inflaming things.. She kept accusing me of just wanting something for free which wasn't the case, I really just wanted to resolve the issue of the trousers that were too long. What inflamed the situation was her attitude was so aggressive towards me when I questioned her. She wasn't going to re do the trousers for free and after some heated words then I offered to pay to have them re-done. She would not accept this solution. She then called the police and threw me out of the shop pushing the money and the trousers off the counter back to me. I left the shop and went into the shop adjoined to pull myself together, I was in tears at this stage where the man who owns the next door shop saw how visibly upset I was. He was very kind to me and told me that this is a regular occurrence and I am not the first person this has happened to. It was desperately upsetting. I have worked in customer service for 40 years and would never ever speak to a customer the way she did me. In the end, I tried to resolve it amicably and she simply would not speak to me kept asking me to leave.

And for me it's also just 2 minutes down the road. The prices are reasonable the owner is a really hard working guy, with a lot of customers, and I like to support the local businesses as well. The staff are incredibly friendly and really make an effort to get stuff done on time for you. I went in with a duvet for cleaning in the midst of the water shortages when there was a huge backlog. I made a plea to get it back before the end of the week as my sister was coming to stay....the lady said she'd do her best. She did! Got a phone call on the Friday to say it was ready. Personal service like that will keep me loyal :-)
