With my hair looking somewhat like The Dude I braced myself for horrified reactions from my new hairdresser (it's always a new hairdresser when you go once every two years...) and sat in the swively chair. Today I had Brittany. She is nice and just moved down from Cairns. Although the faces change, one thing that doesn't at Art of Hair is the quality products and the head massage with the hair wash. Oh how I miss that head massage. AoH isn't your bog standard salon. The hairdressers go through a whole day of cut and colour trials before they are hired and every Monday the salon is closed for training so you know they're up to date on the latest tricks and trends. My cut was good and the hairdresser indulged me when I told her I had watched a Jim Morrison bio last night and wanted to look like Pamela Courson (pre-overdose obvs.) She cut it a little shorter than I wanted, probably not believing that she would ever see me again. The whole thing took about 1.5 hours and I was dramatically transformed from greasy lank hair Jo to sleek, bouncy hair Jo. What a transformation, all for a slightly expensive $140. I found the whole experience so good I booked again for 8 weeks time and I swear I'm ready to be one of those responsible regular hair cutting grown up types.

This message caused me huge amounts of grief and stress at a time when I was already quite nervous and she never apologised. The customer service at this salon started well but deteriorated quickly when the ladies completely failed to establish a relationship which would have encouraged me to return and continue providing my ongoing business.
