Gell nails should last at least two to three weeks but start cheeping after week and when I went back they didn't want to redo them , rude to speak on front customers on they own language when you wouldn't know what they talking about, wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend this business to anyone read more

I used to go to Professionail a lot, however the professionalism of the workers at my particular salon was less than desirable. While they were speaking in another language, body language is a thing and throughout my entire manicure (I was getting acrylics done at the time) the lady doing my nails could not go a second without complaining to her co-worker. She would roll her eyes and glare at me, and was sighing like it was the end of the world while removing the nail polish I had previously had on my nails, as if I couldn't see what she was doing right in front of my face. I have never in my life been rude to a person working in customer service as I know how difficult their jobs can be, so it wasn't brought on as a concequence of my own actions. The nails themselves were rushed, leaving me with tips too large for my nails and acrylic messily applied. It was on my skin! She had caused me to bleed while removing my cuticles, then put acrylic over the small gash which BURNT. I never said anything, simply just payed and then left. Never going there again. read more

While I don't think they did an absolutely horrible job on my nails, it was not particularly good and I would not recommend going here. It cost me about $50 to get gel acrylic French tips done and the result was less than desirable. They're very chunky, with air bubbles, untidy edges and one nail has a bit of clothing fibre cured into it. The size of the tips she chose are far too wide for my nails and the edges overhang. I will need to fix them myself at home tonight. The experience also wasn't pleasant, the technician was very rough, it was painful at times and though she were quick, my fingers are left feeling tender. I regret being too shy to speak up but there's no way she didn't know how rough she were being. Their equipment has clearly been used on multiple customers, the nail file had debris all over it and was long due for replacing. I also experienced the infamous electric file which isn't recommended by professional beauticians. Ironically, my nails look crap.. but because they used an electric file and buffer, if I take their acrylics off my natural nails will look worse. The staff were pleasant and I didn't have to wait, even though I hadn't booked an appointment, hence why I give them two stars. Fairly affordable for acrylic gel nails but not worth the pain, risk of infection from equipment contamination, and end result. Update: yup. My nails are absolutely screwed. I love pedicures and manicures, and have them done here quite a few times over the last two years, however the last time two weeks ago I got a new girl and she cut my toe nail too far down and end result a week later I had an infection, after trying to deal with myself, to no avail, I had to go to the Drs, end result I got told to stay off my foot for 5 days, so had 5 dyes off work, unable to wear now for two and half weeks, and can't see me wearing closed in shoes for another two weeks, on antibiotics for a month, and they have knocked me around a bit, if the skin on my toe does not heal by itself, I will nd o gt it surgically removed.. As I said before this is the first time this has happened in two years, but recommend the girls know what they are doing!! Would of caused me a lot less pain!!! read more

Here I would like to complain to the manager of the professioNAIL in New Lynn. I had a worst experience there. Staff is really rough and rude. Workers speak about clients in front of their face in their native language. And their communication skills are very bad. They didn't want to listen me and even didn't try to understand when I tried to ask to explain why I am not happy with my eyelashes extension. I came into the store today to get my nails done with my friend from Melbourne as we had a wedding to go to. I have to say that I have been there a few times and it has been pretty mediocre, but today was absolutely terrible. I had painted my nails and so the lady had to take the nail polish off and she had the most disgusted look on her face. I asked her what was wrong and she said did you do these yourself? This is so hard to take off, you should never do it yourself you should only come to us. She proceeded to look at my nails in disgust and then started the shellac that I asked for. My friend was getting her acrylics repaired and so she had to take off the damaged nails. The lady started to take the nails off by ripping them and my friend screamed in pain. She continued and my friend said it was unbearable so she rolled her eyes and said something offensive in her language that made all the ladies turn around and look at my friend. The most despicable service I have ever had! I will never ever set foot in Professionail New Lynn. I refuse to pay for abuse and ridicule. Please do not use this salon for lashes as the place should be closed down for lack of hygiene. I normally go to another Salon for my lashes but tried this place ( Professional Nails) and my eyes are so infected and swollen and I can hardly open then. Disappointing.I had been a regular because it was easy and close by, they do a good job on the pedicures. It does feel like a production line, lack of smiles, happiness, and the cold stares when you walk in. ( Like you are inconveniencing them) I am a paying client? I went to get a Pedicure after not going for sometime ready for my holiday. I walked in noticing it was busy surprisingly for early in the week. Anyway was not greeted at all, but ignored. I then had to get the attention of the young woman at the counter who wasn't interested in conversing with me....I said hi, can i have a Pedicure? She talked away from me towards her work colleagues in thai, i found it unsettling...what were they saying? She said in very broken English..we sori, busy, you wait 20 mins! I said that's okay, i can return in 20 mins? She just walked away. I returned in 15, grabbed my nail polish and waited at the counter, to be starred at and ignored again. Hence i have people starring at me from their chairs, was not nice. She came to the counter looking up tight, and said something in thai again, and then said Sorry. By this time i was annoyed, and i asked Sorry for what? She then had a long back and forward conversation in thai, then to say" no we are too busy" I said angrily, you are useless here, and i dumped the nail polish down and walked out in disgust. I will never, ever return, and will look elsewhere for better service. Why do these places not speak English when you are there? I expect a better standard. Absolutely horrendous... The cleanliness was non-exist. Do not go to this salon, you will probably come out with an infection. They were using wooden nail files that had been used many times before (Health and Safety say you can only use wooden nail files on one person, and most salon use metal files which they sterilise after each use). None of their products had labels, they were all in secondary jars, that's also a health and safety violation. The pedicure basins were only being rinsed, not cleaned. They used efiles (drills) on natural nails and there were no certificates of qualification on the wall or anywhere and they didn't change towels after each client.
