I have seen this business for a bit on instagram, mainly because I've been getting into sourdough bread a lot lately so they show me all the places in Manchester that do sourdough. This place popped up, the menu looks reasonable and I'm always one to try some new coffee and sourdough places so while I was staying at a hotel not too far away, I decided to go check it out.
We drove down chapel street in Salford on our journey in, we usually don't go that way but with traffic we thought it best.
We walked in and there was a few people in, which is always a good sign. I headed over to the stands with the merchandise as I love to see it ... and we sat down.
The menu was ... different. Felt very gentrified and up market.
After finally deciding, I went for the Mediterranean eggs and a latte. The Greek yoghurt and eggs part somewhat put me off but I felt adventurous and went for it ... and it wasn't bad.
The combination went well together and it was very nice. As the uk is having egg problems atm, the eggs were just a normal yellow yolk and not the golden orange ones I would have expected from a place like this .... But they were good regardless.
I fell in love with the cups ... ceramic, a nice feel, and no handle which means I could cup my hand around it and warm up.
The sourdough was amazing and it went well with everything.
All in all, it wasn't bad ... I don't think I will be rushing back for food, but il go for a take out coffee and the cakes and pastries looked good so shall defo go for takeaway. read more
