We are in a Facebook group for our builder and there is all the negative talks about things being built incorrectly. As a result of this we went to Yelp to hire our own inspector. The best thing about Rich is he provides very thorough reporting with a quick turn around. We received both reports same day as the inspection to pass over to our developer. Rich made sure that we understood everything and provided answers to all our questions. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a home inspector and will be hiring again for our one year inspection.

I found Mike on this site. www.independentinspectors.org…read more Members sign a "no conflict of interest" pledge. This was important to us because if you hire an inspector recommended by your realtor, they have a financial interest in concealing problems in your future home. If they find problems, and you decide not to purchase the home, the realtor loses their commission, so the inspector won't get recommendations from that realtor in the future. Also, I suspect he/she will eventually develop a reputation with other realtors in the industry for killing deals. So, essentially, you pay for the inspection, but the inspector really works for the realtor. Mike was awesome. We knew immediately that he was working for us, and nobody else. He was extremely thorough and professional. He took the time to explain issues that he found. His report was well organized, detailed and included pictures of some of the findings. He exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend him.

The estimate came in way over our budget; however David assured us that the work would be high quality, and that he wanted to take pictures of the finished work to show future clients. We decided to go with him. David and his assistant finished up in mid January2024. The work was not quality at all, David really dropped the ball with this job. We definitely would not refer David McMaster's for any work. The areas that are sub-par at best are the new doors, new glass block window, hard wood flooring, and all of the paint work. We also had complaints from the tenants about the big mess that was made and not cleaned up, transporting debris from the unit to the garbage cans. If considering hiring this company, please ask David about the Exchange St, remodel. We are still waiting on him to return the keys.
