Tow driver put it in wrong place and so I tried to move it and to my surprise it moved fine. Decided to see for myself what they "saw" that would be $8000. Noticed right way that the transmission bolts had not been loosened ever... opened it up and found that the fluid was like jello. That would be because I believe that you should let sleeping transmissions lie instead of changing fluids. Found NO metal connected to the magnet inside the pan. Cleaned out the "gel" and changed fluids filter (changes 50% of fluid in tranny each time). Drove it and changed fluid/filter it again so only 25% of fluid remains. $80/change. That was 5000 miles ago and no issues. So... you know the whole story... you decide about Best Western Transmission. Maybe a transmission shop that actually looks at the transmission is a better option... just maybe... Note I gave them one star because I can't give them zero.

Talk about scoring points or stars in this case! He was able to order parts and we just had to wait Ben kept us informed the entire time about the order going the back-order when the parts arrived. Then Ben worked around our schedule he was very professional and kept a very clean work area even in the middle of Thunder storms. We would highly recommend Golden Eagle.

If you have holes in leather furniture or another item you want to fix, I highly recommend Fibrenew in Colorado Springs owned and run by Kelton! It took me about two years after I discovered small holes in my leather loveseat before I sought out help to fix them. Thankfully, I didn't try any Do It Yourself fixes because I could have ruined my relatively new loveseat. The furniture store where I purchased my loveseat referred me to Fibrenew. When I called, Kelton came to my home a couple days later to patch the holes. Watching him work on the project was fascinating. The equipment he used was extensive. I was especially impressed with the great care Kelton used in matching the color of the patches to the rest of the leather. On top of all of that, Kelton was a great conversationalist and was willing to answer my questions about the project as he worked. Please note, I have voluntarily written this review and have received no compensation for it.

We were having to stop about every two hours or the car battery would die, which was slowing us down on our 5000 mile trip. We looked on the Roadmaster site for an authorized dealer, and found Premier Auto and RV which seemed to be close to our campground. Other reviews commented on the great service, and that technicians would come to the campground if necessary. We called on the way to Colorado Springs, and they said to come straight to Premier and they would take a look. We pulled in Wednesday around noon, and Brian quickly diagnosed the problem. We were in our campground by 1:30 with a firm plan. The system was 8 years old, and well over 60,000 miles, so we were not surprised to learn that the motorhome was actually not charging the car at all, due to corroded wires, fried diode, and other issues. We went with his suggestion for an upgraded system. He was able to work us in on Friday, so we brought the car and motorhome in early Friday morning, rented a car to continue sight-seeing, and picked both back up on Friday afternoon. We are really pleased with the quality of service, problem-solving, having needed supplies and parts on hand, and a willingness to help out. Highly recommend. The friendliness and welcoming manner of the office staff was a great plus. We felt welcomed and appreciated.

The service manager called me and said it needed a new carburetor. I hesitated because I wanted to get the original carburetor refurbished to preserve the all original car. But I said to go ahead and replace it. They put on a new carburetor, which costs $599.95 on the Summit Racing website, which can be shipped for $22. When I picked up the car, the charge on the bill for the carburetor was $1,099.95 and shipping was $69.99. I challenged him about the bill and he said that is what they paid, which is a lie, along with his lie that shipping was $69.99. I called two days later and had a long discussion with him about overcharging me $500 for the carb and tripling the shipping. He defended both charges. Also, they replaced the hood release latch which costs $82.15 and was charged $166.41 for the part, and they changed the vent window regulator, which costs $225.00 and they charged me $495. I will never go there again and neither will any of my classic car or RV friends.
