I am a landlord and have been using ProRealty as my property management company for just over the past year. I cannot say enough good things about the service and quality they have provided to me as a landlord. I was with a different property management company (that I will not name here) for 8.5 years and got horrible service. Very poor vetting of tenants. No help going after unpaid rent. No help enforcing lease provisions. The prior company was awful. After getting zero support from the prior company to evict a tenant for being multiple months late on rent and for having a marijuana farm in the basement, I made the switch to ProRealty after vetting about a half-dozen other companies, including reference checks. Night and day difference! The staff from Pro is professional, timely in communication, there when I need them. When there are maintenance issues, Pro handles it and only reaches out to me if it is above a pre-agreed upon threshold. When maintenance has been needed, their contractors do good work and it has been very fairly priced. I've only had one set of tenants with Pro, but the vetting was phenomenal. Three young professionals who left the house in immaculate condition upon their move out. And Pro had new tenants ready to go in less than a week and a half after the previous tenants moved out. Having Pro Realty manage my property for me is the closest this rental has ever been to "mailbox money". My wife even shared that she almost forgot we owned a rental given how little we've had to do with it in the past year. Yes, Pro is more expensive than the other company, but not by much. And I am getting so much more value for my management fee than I ever did from the prior company. read more

I lived at 1154 lawson for 2 years first few months lights went out went to change the bulbs and wala it wasn't bulbs that was to be used like normal lights looked like some type of wire light or from when maybe the house was first built I brought lamps door handles kept falling off first few months of living there the bathroom door was stapled together where it is off at eventually it came off and it wasn't even the same the like rest of the door the fridge didn't have a handle and it kept leaking water on the inside and outside of the fridge the basement they threw paint everywhere and being when I washed and dried the clothes the paint got to bubble from the dryer and the humidity from the dryer running I'm trying to figure out where is 10,000$ in damages the ceiling in the dining room kept falling apart it was some type of styrofoam the floors were already terrible and I didn't get to see the place until the day I moved in first red flag the windows steady cracked due to the house is old and they charged me every time they came to fix them they would crack due to so hard to close them summer time especially winter didn't matter im sure they still that way I lived there 2020-2022 I went to the office today to ask for receipts for the 10,000$ repairs and Ms Hernandez looked like she seen a ghost when I said my name I believe they are trying to get over on me I'm going to that house and I want to see the difference because why am I being charged 10,000$ I'm sure they piece it together for them as well I seen roaches when I moved in I told them this I had roach traps and spray them mice stayed coming through the cracks of the house that's probably why it was so cold during the winter the heat barely worked I changed the filter the heat stopped working i just bought space heaters the walls were half way painted all the door handles kept falling off they charged every time they came out to do anything fix anything they are a scam and including the people working with them Midwest resale saying he was a lawyer or something like that said i owed 10,000 and of course I agreed to pay due to I needed another place to move and I didn't want a judgment on me make it hard for me and my son to move elsewhere so yall watch out for these companies they want you to pay for other more properties due to they threw crap cheap stuff in the house they rented out I washed the walls down because I had cats and dogs and the roaches leave behind some black crap said the house reeked of pet feces like ok my cat sprayed here and there and I had dogs but 10,000$ I'm a speak to my paralegal and see if I can sue if they don't come with I asked for I'm not about to keep paying the guy from midwest resale was so rude until I agreed to make payments every 2 weeks people are a joke I almost forgot about they painted the tub with paint for walls when I took my first bath paint was in my bath water I scraped the paint and it was a yellow ruff spot that they threw paint over Lord now that I'm moved I'm ready to go against the scammers and the jokes they thought they were going to put on me Ma Hernandez girl its ok you didn't see a ghost today send me receipts immediately please and thank you read more

Although I am not a renter with Pro Realty, I am a neighbor of one of the homes they rent out in Plymouth. For several years in a row Pro Realty has let this property fall apart and become the eyesore home on our block. Three different renters in three years have mentioned to us how horrible this company is to deal with as far as getting repairs/maintenance taken care of. It's very frustrating that no one cares or takes care of this home. The city of Plymouth is very aware as many neighbors have complained. Also, when we email pro realty with our concerns of this property, our emails go unanswered. Take care of your properties or get out of the business! read more

I had an appointment 1/16 at 2pm for this 6111 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55419 I got a text message confirmation for the 2Pm no one showed up I called Maxwell he told me that's no how this works I said I drove 30 miles he said that's your problem and hung up on me. I reported this to Apartments .com where I saw the listing and they removed it. I also reported this to realtor.com. What a scam. read more

If I could, I would definitely give these guys a negative or big fat 0 at the very most. Worst company ever. They are slimy, rude and terrible. After our front door broke, we went a MONTH before they fixed it AND I had to take off work to meet the maintenance guy because he happened to not have a key for just our unit. We went over a week without a bathtub because they kept sending people to put draino into a clog that needed more...and it was backed-up and dirty as all hell after they were done. They took money off our deposit to cover "other fees" which were nonexistent and charged us late fees when we weren't late. THEN, when we called to resolve the dispute, THEY yelled at US and hung up. WORST, WORST, WORST company ever! NEVER rent through them...unless you enjoy being screwed over time and time again. Worst. read more

I have rented a home from Pro Realty in Minneapolis for the past 3 years. Even signed a renewal for 2 more years! I have ONLY great things to say about the office staff and their maintenance staff. I made an appointment to see a property for rent in Shakopee. During the showing an agent for Pro Realty Services told me that if I applied and it didn't work out, the application fee would be refunded to me. She also made it very clear that my deposit for the rental property was going to be $1,325. I found the terms of the offer very reasonable and decided to apply. I paid the application fee. A couple of days later I received an email from Pro Realty Services, stating that my deposit for the rental property was $3,975. I demanded my money back. Now they are saying that the application fee is non-refundable. This is a pure scam. These people do not even deserve a one star rating. Do not do any business with them or you will be out of your money. These are con artists, not a legitimate business. read more

Beware! This is legitimately the worst company we have ever encountered. They could seriously care less about their properties or tenants whom occupy them. We moved from out of state site unseen but thought since there was photo & video of the home that it'd would be fine. The home was a mess when we got there! Nothing was clean & there was dirt/mud in the bath tub!!!! How hard could it have been for them to at least rinse it out? The siting & roof had been redone before we moved in which we thought would be a bonus. No, it was terrible! There was holes in the walls inside the home from the siting/roof install & they never put the gutters/lights back. It was just left in the garage!? So when winter came we were left with the worst ice. The roof was clearly not properly insulated either. When it came time for us to move, we left the home spotless & in much better shape then given to us! They tried to lie on the claims for deposit & we had to dispute it. They never responded within the time frame they claim & we were very close to taking them to small claims court but they finally issued another remainder to complete our deposit. They still tried to keep $45 but we decided that they were no longer worth our headache & we've found a lovely home to buy. If we were ever to rent out our home we'd NEVER use them! I literally just moved out of one of their properties and let me start by saying this is a horrible company to rent from. I moved into my location three years ago and have been very disappointed with how PRO REALTY SERV handles fixing their properties. When I initially went into PRO REALTY SERV's office to sign my lease for A duplex in South Saint Paul they eventually gave me the wrong place and I didn't realize it until I pulled up to the location granted it was December 23 and their offices were closed so I had to settle for this place that was not properly cleaned there was holes in the walls and the foundation on the house was leaking and I didn't know because they covered it up by putting stuff up against the wall so I could not see what was behind. The basement smelled wet like there was mold behind the border they put up on the wall. Anytime you make a maintenance request they charge your account for the repairs. There's nobody physically ever there to talk to you. Then when I moved out I cleaned the house completely and cut the grass and still got an $850 charge when I did everything I was supposed to. I then messaged PRO Realty and they blocked me from the mailing service which is completely odd. My advice to anyone reading this do not rent from them they are a complete rip off and very unprofessional. read more

I love the townhouse I'm renting. It's affordable and has many perks to it. Great location, laundry, garage, back yard, a lot of space...ect. But I can't stress enough the customer service is something I am definitely NOT in love with. I've had mice for over a week, 3-4 maintence requests I've submitted, phone calls with empty promises of an exterminator coming out when one never did. I had to take care of the problem myself BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T! They promised me the hole the mice were coming from (THAT THEIR MAINTENENCE GUY MADE MONTHS AGO!) would be fixed AND IT'S NOT! They keep giving me the run around, day after day! THIS IS WHAT I GET AFTER THEY RAISE MY RENT! I would suggest looking elsewhere! read more

THIS IS THE WORST Reality Services I've EVER had to deal with. Biggest scam into a home they "update" half the house. Updates were for "show" everything fell apart 3 month of living. They could care less about their properties or tenants whom occupy them. The pipes burst not even a week into living in the house. It flood each floor of the house. They came and did a clean up of "Bleach" and call it a day. Sealed a wet ceiling of sewage. Everyone knows you should let it dry first and see if it left any other damage. No they felt like sealing it while it was still gross. In the end the ceiling turned brown. 2 Months later there was black mold starting bugs every where. Threatened them id go to the state a couple weeks later they agree to let us out of a lease. They were the worst at getting ahold of. Promised they were going to fix the steps that you cant even walk on. The emergency bed room window. Yeah they let us into a house and use the room when clearly that window needed fixing. Kept saying they were going to fix. They never did. Couldn't even walk on the deck without feeling like the wood would snap. YOU couldn't even use the front door because the stairs were broken. Promised that would be fixed before we moved in. EVERYTHING WE ASKED TO GET FIXED THEY FAILED TO DO. There were so many things wrong with the place, employees the property managers. Didn't care about our living only if we were going to pay rent on time. OVERALL experience with this company will never happen again. read more

Let me start by saying that I lived with another management company for over 5 years, and I had ZERO issues. I've lived with ProRealty for 10 months, and I've had FOUR issues with them. Our hot water has been off and on for a few days. It went out completely on Friday, and when I called, they responded with "yeah, someone called yesterday. We'll get to it." So it's illegal to not have hot water for your tenants. I told our caretaker that I was going to the state if it wasn't resolved by 5PM Saturday - then someone fixed it. Or so I thought. It went out again today (Sunday). I called the emergency line (which is only an answering machine, don't talk to any live person) and said they had one hour to get back to me. My roommate came home, and apparently someone is onsite to work on it. ProRealty told him to come out Monday. Not only are they awful at communication, but PROREALTY IS OK WITH US HAVING NO HOT WATER FOR AN ENTIRE WEEKEND. I cannot wait to move out. Two more months! And I will NEVER recommend ProRealty to anyone! read more

I am appalled at the way this company has treated me. I applied to one of their properties last month and was told that if I was not accepted I would be refunded my application fee. I was not accepted and it has been 3 weeks now and still no refund. I have called multiple times to where I am unable to leave a voicemail. I spoke with a representative once who said they would talk to accounting and take care of the issue, no such luck. Very unprofessional and overall bad business. read more

I have worked with Pro Realty Services for a two year period where friends that are an immigrant family have rented. When my friends moved in Pro Realty documented every detail with a camera. If I noticed a defect that could be an issue they included it in their photo and written file. They had many inspections, but they called at least a day in advance, When a repair person was scheduled it was mostly the day before. I'll admit that some of them would have been better a couple of days in advance, but I think they were restricted by the contractors schedule. My calls were usually answered within hours, but at most the next day. We had tensions. They were always respectful of us and possible cultural differences. They held us to normal standards and when we didn't meet them we had to pay for the repairs They fixed what was theirs to fix, and expected us to fix our stuff. There is a unit above us that if they had a bathroom/bathtub overflow it would come into our unit. It's an old building, and it's annoying, but they replaced the damaged ceiling tiles and didn't argue that it was our fault. I feel that Pro Realty Services acted to ensure the property was cared for and that the tenants were involved in that goal. John read more

I totally agree with the rest of the reviews...same situation with us...no heat, no honesty, no integrity... It took months for them to finally fixed the heat and they only did it because we said we were moving out for this reason. The bills were also wrong the first months charging us for things that were nonexistent. The last request for maintenance we sent was in August and the guy came in november and he went into the house with his own keys after saying specifically that we did not want that. This is a direct quote from the maintenance person Pro Realty sent to our apartment, "I like doing jobs for Pro Realty Services, because they tell me I only need to do a C or B- job. It's that extra 10% that costs me the most time and money anyway, so it's great for me." Not surprisingly the maintenance people usually left big messes in our house and had to come back to redo shabby work. This is symbolic of Pro Realty's overall business model and what it is like to be a tenant of a Pro Realty property. Pro Realty Services are either incompetent or dishonest, perhaps a mix of the two. We leased a property from them for 1 year, every month the rent bill was incorrect, the property was poorly maintained, they would conduct inspections / maintanence without giving us any notice. When it came time to end the lease and move out they deducted $355 from our deposit for things that were clearly made up, i.e. we paid for professional cleaning but still got charged for not cleaning the house, they tried to charge us for items left behind even though they were left behind by the previous tenants and their representative even came out and went over the items with me. I guess when you are renting you don't have much choice in your property manager, but if you have to go with Pro Realy Services I would recommend you document EVERYTHING in extreme detail because they will either try to scam you out of your deposit, get your rent bills wrong and present them so confusingly you will have to spend a lot of time working out the actual charges or they will send contractors out for maintanence and charge you for things that were not even done. Not happy with this company at all. My kids rent an apartment from them on Portland Avenue. I am disgusted in the fact that this company did not take the necessary steps to ensure the kids in the building have adequate heat. It's 16 degrees outside and the kids apartment is barely holding 30. Their excuse for not coming is that there are cats in the apartment and someone needs to be home. Of course both time the kids have taken off work to be there no one has showed up. This is irresponsible behavior and in my opionion unlawful. If they don't have heat soon, this company is going to have one very angry mother on their hands that they don't want to mess with. read more

I've been renting a house through Pro Realty for just over a year now and I have to say they are wonderful! I recommend them to anyone and everyone. The one thing I believe that sets them apart and makes me love them SO much is that they work with their tenants. They treat you like a worth while human being and they are always respectful. They're also on the ball when it comes to maintenance, they always give me at least two days notice if not more for maintenance or inspections. Submitting maintenance requests is a breeze and they respond as soon as possible. You can do nearly everything online with them! Pay rent (there are multiple ways to pay online.. so nice), submit maintenance requests and even communicating with the people that make up pro realty, they actually respond to emails in a timely fashion. Pro Realty has treated us well, taken great care of the property and have been flexible and helpful. read more

Extremely poor. There is nothing Professional about this company at all. We had problems from day one. We had issues setting up a move in date, we had issues getting them to remove some furniture that we had negotiated to have removed finally it was removed after several heated emails and phone calls and several weeks of waiting. Every time I call them (during normal 9-5 mon-fri business hours) they are busy or out of the office. They take days to return calls. They have only recently (within the last 4 months) updated the way they accept rent payments into the 21st century. They hire the sleaziest realtors to show their properties to potential renters, they guy currently showing my property makes me actively uncomfortable. To the point where I am torn between protecting myself and not being around or protecting my stuff from theft. Horrible! If for some reason this hasn't convinced you not to work with these people then make sure to READ YOUR LEASE!!! That baby does not protect your rights. I am moving this month and I CANNOT WAIT TO GET AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. Worst experience of my rental career. So unprofessional. read more
