HOWEVER- I arrived at the final walkthrough at the scheduled time, and they were still not done clearing out their supplies. This was okay and I assumed more work would be done. When I returned to my home later that day I was appalled. There was brown liquid spilled on the cabinets and floors, paint spilled on the floors, stairs & countertops, outlet covers missing (still not found), painter's tape still stuck to the walls & baseboards, and sunflower seeds littered across EVERY single floor in the house (including the in the carpet and the bathtub). I am shocked at the way the house was left and how sloppy this was. This was not the condition that it was supposed to be left in. I had a showing the next morning so had to spend over 3 hours cleaning it. I contacted the manager about it and received a $275 discount. They did offer to come back over and "take care of these items" but I had no time to let them come back so I had to take care of it myself. For how much I paid to for this to be done I expected way more from this company. I will not be using this company again.

I made countless calls to handymen, drywall tradesmen, even general contractors, before I found Drywall Artists. Others would agree to the project, but not show... and some would decline the project outright, due to the overhead work required. Josh came to my home, scoped the job, provided a detailed (and written) quote, and we agreed on a price and start date. I had to wait a few weeks for his availability, but it was well worth it. Josh, and his team, arrived on time every day (at 7:30 am), of our project schedule! Now, at the time, I felt like "showing up" was half the battle... but it's not just Josh's work ethic that makes him valuable, it's his expertise (12+ years). The overhead work required a board brace, which Josh secured. I mis-measured the drywall I installed myself, which Josh corrected. The knee wall was not plumb due to settling, which Josh corrected. The door jamb was oval, but my door hardware was square, which Josh corrected. There's probably more stuff that went wrong that he didn't tell me about, and he just powered through! The bottom line is this... the guy is very, very, good. If you're luckily enough to get on his schedule, you should hold that date.

Then they invoiced us for more than twice the cost of the original estimate even after they "took off" some charge for delay and poor communication When we had them out to for an estimate and spoke about the jobs and it was clear that we saw there could need to be additional work added to complete the job correctly once we got started, which should have been included in the estimate. Instead they added more charges later with no explanation. Also On the estimate they simply wrote "materials not included" and never discussed possible costs an then the the cost of materials was 2/3 more than the estimate for the actual work. This is completely duping customers with what their final cost will be! Customers understand there is a cost for materials, which they could include at least a rough number in the original estimate, but if material costs will be almost as much as the work they should include this in their estimate. This is a sneaky, dishonest business practice. Along with the high cost of our materials, we had to pay for every person that came to replace the previous person that did a terrible job. The first person tried to complete the job as a total amateur and ruined what they were meant to improve. Then 3 other workers tried unsuccessfully to complete the job and wasted time and materials to do a horrible, poor quality job, which then had to be corrected by consecutive workers. Finally after 6 weeks the job was completed by a single person in 2 days. Even after all these weeks and people we still have one thing that was working before they arrived and when they finished the left it completely unusable and we have to hire another company to fix what they ruined. By the end when we received the invoice we filed a complaint and they took off a nominal amount but never reconciled the horrible work, time, or inflated charged. If I could give negative stars I would! Do not hire this company!
