Surprisingly the deposit fee was not part of the $820 rental fee, but no big deal; what's $1,409.02 when you're getting $600 back and you did not account for the extra cost. So an hour later the equipment shows up on site..We're just a little behind schedule. The Harley rake was used less than an hour, and a hydraulic line busted...can not confirm, but was advised it was due to barbwire caught in roller. The machine cut off and would not start back..found out the fuel gauge was broken and 1/4 is empty. They forgot to pick up the equipment, so I waited around for several hours and could not get anyone on the phone. Equipment sat in my customer's yard for 5 days. Today is almost 1 month since the equipment rental date, and they just returned $150 of the $600 deposit. $600 Deposit -$325 Smooth Bucket Corners Repaired -$75 cleaning fee for barbwire -$0 Skidsteer had a recall that caused arms to hit cab and not raise all the way. The two guys showed up about 30 minutes early (always a bonus in my book), and were straight with pricing and required no negotiation. I knew I wanted to support local no matter what and their price was right in my ballpark ($425 for the full truck) which was $200 less than the big name guys. I had negotiated the big name guys down to $400 but still didn't want to pull the trigger until Junkyard Dogs showed up, because I knew if it was still in that range, I'd happily pay more for a local company. The two men got right to work, packing my construction debris very efficiently into the truck, maximizing every square inch. It took them about an hour to clear my carport where I had accumulated all of the debris from my remodel. I called the owner to pay via phone and express my gratitude and he was very thankful and kind. I highly recommend these guys and will gladly use them in the future.
